Yea, and as a benefit, once they are gun owners there’s at least a chance that they will be reachable otherwise, since, as the politicians well know, gun owners are often SINGLE ISSUE voters - who will vote to protect their rights over ANYTHING ELSE a candidate might stand for.

Meanwhile the GOPe is reaching out to blacks which probably means they’ll give the NAACP money to trash conservatives.
We as conservatives need to reach out in real ways to talk about faith, rebuilding the family etc. We also need to show them how illegal immigration and our regulation nation is contributing to unemployment which is worst in the black community.
We need to embrace the Barry Goldwater method of doing real things that give a hand up but don’t create dependency.
