I have seen some of the “Prepper” series, but I am not so impressed.
To me, prepping would count on getting the H out of Dodge in a moments notice.
I envision a number of disasters that would make all those
stored goods useless, not to mention the situations where everyone else in the area having their eyes on what YOU have, and they do not.
Get out of dodge how and go where?
Even here where tornados and high winds are regular, I'd rather stay here than leave. If I survive, some of my stuff will, too. I know this ground, and my stuff. Even if it gets scattered and rained on.
If I don't survive, I'm fairly sure I won't care.

Staying put is the only way you do not become an instant refugee.
“not to mention the situations where everyone else in the area having their eyes on what YOU have, and they do not.”
No one would know unless you told them. I’m just a little ole lady who lives by herself in a little house - I’m so old, I have nothing.
I’m close to Dodge but not ready to get out. I will take my chances with my supplies, my allies and my defense. If you think your chances are better being a loner I have no problem. Just don’t put everyone in your boat or a lot of weapons will be lost.
Getting out of one Dodge is merely heading to another Dodge. Leaving your known Dodge and going to someone else's unknown Dodge? No thanks. But different strokes.
