That would depend on so many factors, such as where you are to begin with, and the nature of the problem one is in.
I fled the USSA 12 years ago, and have not regretted it for one moment.
If I were still back in west Tennessee, my first choice would be to head for the hills...Smoky Mountains.
Preppers need to have multiple plans, depending on the problem. One plan will not likely cover all potential problems.

I’m not going anywhere. Town of 600 people. In the middle of the big nothing. Good neighbors, many farmers, many hunters, know most of them.

Family has been here for 120+ years.

If they want to come mess with us, they won’t like the reception.
