Mar 19, 2013, 6:27am MDT Magpul preparing to leave Colorado
Staff Denver Business Journal
Magpul Industries Inc. of Boulder intends to "start out transition out of the state almost immediately" after Gov. John Hickenlooper signs into law a measure limiting the number of rounds allowed in magazines, KMGH-TV reports.
The governor is expected to sign House Bill 1224 on Wednesday. The bill restricts to 15 the number of rounds a magazine can hold. But Magpul Industries makes 30-round magazines. The company's website said Magpul Industries has sold millions of its polymer magazines, or "PMAGs."
Magpul Industries posted a lengthy note on its Facebook page in which the company said it expects the first PMAGs to be made outside of Colorado within 30 days of Hickenlooper signing the bill.

Good for Magpul. Need any volunteers to help with the move? Will work for Pmags. Of course the radical left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbags will say that the company is just screwing the employees by moving and that they were free to make their product, just not sell it in kolorado.
O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A Oklahoma....STATE!!
“Texas ain’t just about talk.”
Bump! Bump! Bump!
hee hee hee
You’re correct. But that just shows the egregious hypocisy of this gun grabber culture.....they don’t care about deaths or numbers of bullets. If they really cared about death, they’d do something about cigarettes instead of heavily taxing them. Or they’d stop aborting a million souls a year, and on and on and on.
It is about eventual total disarmament of the citizens. They cannot completely consolidate their total control without it.
Uh... they’re not REALLY worried about the “chilrun” as much as they are worried about the citizens’ ability to resist tyranny.
Most of it appears to want just that... though El Paso County (Colorado Springs, et al) still embraces the conservative American West ideals.
It’s just Denver-Boulder and Summit County that’re ruining the whole state.
To all the folks requesting MAGPUL to move operations to your state ... by the time Connecticut, Eli Whitney’s home and formerly known as the Arsenal of Freedom, is done, there will be plenty for everybody.
Dear Magpul, There are a multitude of beautiful East Tennessee counties that would love to have you, complete with thousands of people eager to work their butts off for you. (For example, Scott County, TN)
Smoky Mountains & great outdoor activities
No state income tax
Plenty of unemployed workers
Cheap land
Conservative, gun-friendly state government
No traffic
Lot of lakes and rivers
Low cost of living
Great southern cooking and BBQ
I’ll be glad to meet your rep at the airport and give you a tour of God’s country! Call me. :)
Looks like I am going to have to buy me a Magpul 30 round magazine. even though, I not only do not have an AR15 platform rifle, I don’t even like them. But hey now see here, I gotta support these guys.
You probably know it, but most people mis-pronounce the name of the great state of Oklahoma. There is a noticable "gap" between the "A" and the "H".
As shown below.

Well, Pueblo isn’t exactly a bastion of conservatism, though...
I didn’t know Oklahoma had such beautiful mountains...
Don’t come here to MN. At least not until Marx Dayton and his band of merry tyrants are gone.

Yea, and they’d save a lot of money on dental insurance too...Did you know the tooth brush was invented in Knoxville?
Anywhere else and it would be called a “teeth brush”!
ROOOOLLLLL TIDE!!!
As for Colorado, I won't be visiting that state until all the communists are purged. So basically, that means I will never be visiting Colorado ever again.
Why would a company want to move there?
I think Texas, Ok, Miss, Ala, or some other red state would work better. Texas doesn't even have income tax.
Understand that the way the law is written, it will require Magpul to significantly alter it’s manufacturing process by requiring serial numbers and dates of manufacturing on each and every mag. This will add SIGNIFICANT retooling costs to the company.
Magpul may not but I will be moving my start up magazine business to Wyoming before July 1st (effective date of the law).
