Eleanor Clift is a moron. I have e-mails from her from about 2003 telling me that the only reason we were in Iraq was for oil. She also was telling me that a coalition order for Iraqi civilians to give up their AK-47s was against the 2nd Amendment. Apparently the fact that a war zone is essentially under martial law was more than she could grasp.

The founders had an inherent distrust of government,
and therefore the basis of the founding of the nation was the distrust of government.
People like Clift, Graham, and McCain think distrust in government is not just absurd, but treasonous.

If indeed that’s what he’s trying to do, then he should be saluted. This government is ripe for a revolution.
Republican administrations typically push for potentially dangerous powers to solve some existing problem. Democrat administrations tend to abuse them. (Granted: there are always exceptions).
The most egregious abuse in my short memory: Posse Commitatus/Drug nexus at Waco (discussed at length in Kopel's Can Soldiers Be Peace Officers? ). Clinton/Reno floated this absurd connection in order to employ military equipment (CS gas distributing tanks/vehicles). And then used Delta force to shoot anyone who tried to leave the burning church complex. (See The FLIR Project).
Can't wait to see the evil fruit of TSA and DHS.
