The real war against women is the announced plan of the Obama administration, using outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta as the fall guy, to assign women for the first time in American history to fight our nations enemies in military ground combat. Thats real war, with real guns, real bullets and real deaths.
This war doesnt involve only women who have volunteered to serve in our military. Its a real war against all 18-year-old American girls, because for the first time in our nations history they will be required to sign up for the draft and be ready for a letter from Selective Service ordering them to report for military duty.
Thats because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Rostker v. Goldberg in 1981 that the gender difference in the law requiring every male citizen of age 18 through 25 to register does not violate equal protection or due process. However, there was a caveat.
The court ruled: The purpose of registration was to prepare for a draft of combat troops. Since women are excluded from combat, Congress concluded that they would not be needed in the event of a draft, and therefore decided not to register them.
Congress must act immediately, before the May passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2014, in order to pre-empt what Obamas Department of Defense, without constitutional authority, is trying to do unilaterally. There is no demand from the American people to pursue this war on young women. The House has not had any hearings on women in combat since 1979, and the Senate has not had hearings since 1991.
Some U.S. military commanders disdain for our traditional civilian control of the military is insufferable. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said Congress can legislate if they like but

WND. I should have known the article would be factually incorrect.
Panetta’s lifting the ban on women in combat does not automatically require women to register with the Selective Service and the Congress does not have to act before the 2014 National Defense Authorization Act to prevent such a requirement.
This is “uncharted waters.” Nobody knows how this will work out or whether it will be done through judicial review or congressional legislation. The last SCOTUS ruling we have upheld Congress’ decision to exclude women. The SS has said they will change nothing until Congress acts.
Typical WND.
I say let them start drafting women, they can start with the militant feminists and the liberal idiot well meaning but anti-consequence women first.
Maybe after sending over a couple million of these liberal harlots the REST of us can live our lives without the media thinking they DEFINE us.
If young men have to register for a possible draft, so should young women.
Indeed. This is the 21st Century, women and men are equal in all things. A while back a young woman asked me as i was walking out of a Wal*Mart if I would help her change her flat tire. I just laughed at her and kept walking.
Can you show where the article is "factually incorrect"?
You seem clueless to the fact that females are destroying the military and in time may cost us our nation.
To draft them is the exact opposite of what we should be doing, an all male draft would be needed to replace those females and stop the left’s goal of reaching a 50/50 military.
To start drafting women is to fulfill the left’s most radical dream for our military, yet we see it promoted here by the naive.
No they can't, and no it isn't, you are worse than naive, you are totally clueless on the subject.
Didn’t we fight this battle already? Let them try passing the Equal Rights Amendment again, if they are so crazy to have our young women shot to pieces.
Panetta is not a fall guy. Not even close. He has always been an intuitive institutionalist. If you want blame him, go ahead. Please stop misreading these socialist fascists. They are not stupid, and are not making mistakes. They are emplacing massive social change.
“A while back a young woman asked me as i was walking out of a Wal*Mart if I would help her change her flat tire. I just laughed at her and kept walking.”
Should have charged her for it...
“Why shouldn’t women be drafted and placed in non direct combat rolls?”
As a father of sons, and one fully aware that their “whiteness” and gender will be used to hinder their employment/promotions as well as educations, I can assure you that no son of mine will ever be in the US military in any role, and they certainly won’t be opposed to those who are the “preferred Americans” (beneficiaries of affirmative action policies) serving in the military in any capacity their nanny-state government wishes. It is the “preferred Awericans” ‘ country now; they should be willing to die for it.
Come on, front line combat is nothing. Want to see a tough girl really pushed to her limit have her kick a football.
Feminist women have brought this upon themselves. Yes, draft them. After all, that’s what these man-hating women want for ALL females.
I came from a lost era in America where women were.....well....feminine and ladies. Men were supposed to protect them from harm and did.
In the 70’s when the feminist movement (and lesbians came out of the closet) began and they burned their bras and sung the song “I am woman, hear me roar” was their champion song along with the abandonment of the role of being a housewife and mother to their children, the whole world turned on it’s head.
Like everything else, a minority of liberals ruined it for everyone for the majority of women did not believe in the movement but were totally changed by it.
Now they whine because testosterone filled women are dragging all of the feminine women (what’s left of them) into a man’s world.
I already explained why in my post.
It’s a sick society that sends mommies out to fight its wars. Mommies are meant to be kind and nurturing, not out killing bad guys. That’s what daddies are for.
For many reasons, the first being that they can't do the work, you don't seem to know anything about the military.
Tell me, which branch did you serve in so that I can get some idea of what you think of when you think of military life and work and women's effectiveness in it.
