WND. I should have known the article would be factually incorrect.

Panetta’s lifting the ban on women in combat does not automatically require women to register with the Selective Service and the Congress does not have to act before the 2014 National Defense Authorization Act to prevent such a requirement.

This is “uncharted waters.” Nobody knows how this will work out or whether it will be done through judicial review or congressional legislation. The last SCOTUS ruling we have upheld Congress’ decision to exclude women. The SS has said they will change nothing until Congress acts.

The article is by Phyllis Schlafly, Eagle Forum. She also appears to be a syndicated columnist. She wrote the article. WND provided the web presence.

Do you also blame the post office for creating your credit card statement?
