Over the weekend, however, the Syrian Opposition Council -- the main umbrella group for the broad array of rebel politicians, clerics and soldiers, many of them Islamists with ties to al-Qaeda and other unsavory networks -- announced it was boycotting the session with Kerry in Rome.

Did you know Kerry served in vietnam? If they did, they’d crawl over broken glass to meet with him.

There never was a “reset” button. Those imbeciles cannot even make a cup of coffee. Hilary would be filing PI briefs, but for Bill.
The button in Russian read “overcharge”. Which is what we’re getting from State.

Ha! Is that like pouring ketchup into an open wound? Wouldn’t it be funny if few countries agreed to meet with treasonous sob?

How convenient. Mr. Teresa Heinz is in Rome and there’s no Pope to excommunicate him.

That little scuffle in Benghazi must have interrupted the flow of weapons, and Brennan's sticky nomination must have him laying a bit low on that secret war of his.

[. . .some of those rebel figures who have been most vocal in rejecting the meeting with Kerry are said in private to favor it and to be asking Washington to do more to provide them with the political cover they feel would enable them to make the trip.]
The “political cover” would be for the State Department to recognize al-Nusra, and other AQ groups fighting beside the rebels, as legitimate. This isn't a big leap from embracing the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the Talibs in Afghanistan.

Kerry doesn’t so much object to the anti-American Islamists that might be in the rebel coalition, he just wants to determine if the rest are Communist enough to meet his standards.

Don't they know who he is?!?
There's the Doha Coalition, and an overlapping or successor organization, the Syrian National Coalition, which just got its first embassy.

Hillary was just smart enough to hide for weeks on end and any meeting was probably very secret. Kerry is a loser supreme.
