Wrong on both counts.
He just published a Best Seller, and may have another one (or two or three) still in his mind and heart. We do know that he wants time to think, write, pray.
Trolls, a love story. Aren’t they cute together Gator!
Mine neither!
Thats some seriously ugly wall behind him.The wall reads: "My Mother, My Confidence"
I’m with you on that one.
I read it that he believes he has lost the 'mental agility' to keep up with the flood of crap the modern anti-theistic world is throwing up. He may be much more seriously ill than he appears.
And what exactly does one do as a former Pope?
Find a convenient monastery and live out one's days in peace and prayerful communion with Our Lord.
That, and seek appropriate treatment for whatever serious illness has driven this.
Strange, sad times we are in FRiend.
May God keep watch.

No doubt Obama will get in on the action, watch him try and steal the limelight by lighting candles in a catholic church for a photo op. Wonder will the UN send electoral observers in, they stick their nose in everything else.
It’s the 20th century dreck surrounding it that got to me. It clashes with Mary.
There are others, with far more knowledge that you, that would disagree.

My heart doesnt bleed for pedophiles or those who protect them.
...good for you...hopefully your heart is equally icy over known Protestant and secular pederasts who patrol the halls of churches and schools the world over...
Bookies are betting it’s Peter Turkson from Ghana....
Let the papal prophecy thoughts continue!
Because he is black?
I believe it’s dementia. Here’s why:
If he had some grave diagnosis (e.g. pancreatic cancer) that gave him less than a year to live, there’s no reason to resign, as his fate will lead to a successor soo enough for the Church and the world.
If he had some new disability (making it difficult to walk, talk, see, etc.) he would soldier on, and continue his leadership, even with a reduced schedule or limited travel.
The only condition that would truly deny the Church a capable pontiff is a cognitive disability.
May God comfort him in these difficult times, and bless him for making a courageous decision.
I should note that this is the result of such effective medical care that the body outlasts the brain, and may become the new normal for the generations ahead.
Oh, and maybe you ought to start reading the Vatileaks if you don’t think the Vatican is a political organization with the same kinds of corrupt as those in DC

Does it seem to you a little odd that just a couple of weeks after he is visited by leon panetta, he resigns?
