The Obama administration is condemning an Islamist attack on a natural gas field in southern Algeria and confirming that Americans are among those being held hostage.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told reporters in Italy that Americans were among the hostages and called the incident a "terrorist attack."

anyone noticed that ore Americans are being taken all over the world in these last couple of years, now if we had a non biased non corrupt media obama would be swept out of office with all this crap going on.
obama made a fool of himself and this country by appeasing to muslims America is looking weak and just think about it.
WE STILL DO NOT KNOW EHRE OBAMA WAS WHEN THE ATTACK HAPPENED IN LIBYA
Did he watch the attack live time in the sit room?
who gace that order to stand down?
This is months later and FRIGGING NOTHING FROM THE MEDIA, THE GOP AND THE WHITE HOUSE.
Powell basically said the 4 shoudl not have been there and it was their fault.
We do not know where obama was during these attacks, did he go to sleep knowing the attacks were taking place?
Months later and we have no answers, the culprits are still out there, we are a laughing stoick since this muppett went over there and appeased them in his speeches.
Ansar Dine and AQIM are provisionally allied.
MUJWA and AQIM fight each other sometimes and have a truce sometimes.
MUJWA and Ansar Dine have connections to one another and seem to work together sometimes.
What seems to happen is that when one of these groups conquer a town, they will fight anyone else who tries to take it, but they will sometimes ally themselves with another group that is fighting the government over a disputed territory.
They are all enemies of the government.
I hope the Americans are not former military because they might end up line Jon Hammar.
At least .. that was my conclusion to the incident - Jon was ignored because he was MILITARY. Obama hates the military.
Sounds messy. Thanks for the info
I can see why Panetta asked the Pope to pray for him a few days ago. He’s not a bright man amd was a Clinton stooge, but I think he’s pretty pro-American. That’s why Bambi picked him...to hang him out to dry.
I need to start investing in companies that make easy to fall on swords.

Look at the news sites. This story is buried about 7 to 10 stories down the list. Nothing to see here. Again, if this was Bush, it would have been plastered all over the headlines.
...if a hostage is taken and no one’s there to tape it, did it really happen???
He hasn’t done that yet? What is he waiting for? How many more must die!? Think of the children!/sarc
You mean they didn’t have a video to blame it on? Bummer of Obo, he can’t say al qaeda is dead now. Meanwhile prayers for the hostages.
no one seems to care . I posted the article here and it got about 20 hits in the first 5 minutes but the mods immediatly buried it in "blogs" for some reason
You are totally correct.
And yet, this goes unreported, undiscussed, unseen. I fear that by the time people wake up to the extent of the Saudi corruption and threat, it will be too late.
Good info .... Grateful !
bump and thank you for the ping Squantos.
