Congressmen Confirm That Boehner Will Either Resign Speakership Or Be Forced Out
Cybercast News Service.com ^ | 1/2/13 | Ron Meyer

I have confirmed with a group of Congressmen that House Speaker John Boehner will not be reelected Speaker tomorrow.

He will either resign or be forced out tomorrow.

Only 17 members are needed to block Speaker Boehner's election tomorrow. A Speaker needs an absolute majority of all votes cast for a specific person.

If no one has a majority, the House is speakerless. I've confirmed these rules with the House Parliamentarian.

CALL YOUR REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMEN THIS MORNING! Tell their office that we INSIST that the election for Speaker be done by SECRET Ballot; else we are likely to have Boehner, or another milquetoast appeaser foist upon us by the Republican establishment. If a Representative knows that the RNC is taking names, they won’t have the balls to vote against them, because they need their money for re-election. HAS to be secret ballot.

Though your wording is accurate, it portrays inaccuracy.

Mr.Newt and the House worked out a budget which greatly cut the deficit, and promoted growth in the US, which after much crying by Clinton was signed into law. That budget essentially remained in force until 9/11.

It was a remarkable feat of resolve by Mr.Newt and his House, which has not been accomplished at another time in the past century.

Mr.Newt is not an angel, and I don’t believe he has the best “conservative” credentials, but to deny his accomplishments is disingenuous and approaching deceitful.

I agree but he does have a problem with running his mouth and saying things that are opposed to what we stand for. I guess just about anyone with a spine that does not have a drinking problem would be better than the weeper. I could handle Newt. He would make obama’s world miserable.

It seems that our problem is not only Boehner AND his lieutenants but a majority of the Republican members themselves. I don’t think the Republican primary voters will ever figure it out.

TREY GOWDY.......For speaker

Yes! Trey Gowdy would get my vote (also possibly Jason Chaffetz of Utah).

I don't want to hear anything about who's "next in line" or whose "turn" it is. Put a freakin' PIT BULL in there for Speaker of the House!

“Why get rid of one socialist to get an even worse one. Besides, Gingrich is too busy crusading for climate change and same-sex marriage.”

Yep. Newt changes with the wind.

I would have voted for Newt over Romney, but am disgusted with his after election analysis. He wants to make it official to change the Republicans into Dem Lites.

Boehner can resign suddenly now and leave the House Republicans scrambling to find a replacement, then spend the next 8 years writing books and run for President in 2020.

His 2020 supporters will remind us that he was instrumental in writing the Contract With America, call him the “true fiscal conservative and Reaganesque visionary in the race”, and retroactively claim that “Boehner-led Republicans were doing a FANTASTIC job fighting for us and enacting BOLD conservative legislation UNTIL a RINO-led coup unceremoniously removed him from power in early 2013”.

(Hey, history revisionism worked well for another former GOP speaker. All Boenher needs to replicate it now is have a mistress he’s hiding.) ;-)

So four no votes, plus 2 for West, 1 for Amash, 1 for Cantor, 1 for Labrador, 1 for Jordan, 1 for Walker = 11 GOP defections
