One armed teacher or administrator would have saved dozens of lives today.
I tried but it wants me to join whatever it is.... I think such a measure is long overdue. The only time I don’t have a gun around is at work. The rest of the time, there is at least one handy. And I hate the thought that one day I would have to face off against an armed man with only the sharp end of a broken yardstick.
Adam Lanza walked into a CT school today with no permit whatsoever. How in the hell could we trust law-abiding citizens with guns in schools? /s
They should train all teachers who desire, to be reserve police officers—problem solved.
It seems to work well for the Israelis.
You know, I’ve come on here for years, trolling you people by posting the dumbest sh1t I could come up with and laughing while you agreed with me and sent me PM’s out of solidarity. It was a guilty pleasure. I’m not proud of it, nor should I be. But, at long last, I will at least admit it.
But seriously, when you conclude that the answer to stopping school shootings is allowing more guns in school, you have reached a level of stupidity that is simply beyond the pale. 20 babies lie dead, their bodies so destroyed that no transport to a hospital was forthcoming. More guns, that is the answer. Congratulations, you have achieved the pinnacle of stupid; you are the ultimate “freeper”.
Yes, I have trolled here, because I knew that the more I fed the flames of your distorted thinking, the more I was doing to make sure those you support are unelectable. But this.....this is just dangerous.
You fools realize that the answer to decreasing teen sex isn’t providing more opportunities for sex. The answer to abortion isn’t increasing more opportunities for abortion. The answer to higher taxes isn’t more opportunities to tax. Why do you see the answer to gun violence as increasing the opportunities to acquire weapons?
Other than David Koresh, I can’t recall anyone using assault weapons to thwart the advances of an aggressive government. Yet, those same weapons, which have demonstrated zero utility to law abiding citizens, have been used to kill thousands of us, and today one killed babies. Those who continue to cheer on such weaponry have divorced themselves from the rational universe. Well done, freepers. At the root of the problem lies you.
Tough and armed vets as teachers are the way to go. They can clear the way for our women to properly teach kids who show respect and an interest to learn.
My swim coach was a veteran of Guadalcanal. My algebra teacher landed at Normandy. My English teacher was really cute, and she wore low-cut blouses.
Bump.
While I believe no gun control policy could stop mass shootings like this and therefore calls for more gun control in order to stop these massacres are in vain, I have to say I don’t see how the usual response from 2nd amendment activists that “if only an armed citizen could have been there to stop this” can apply here. Who is armed, the teachers? Should we have armed patrols at every school in the country?
They should make it mandatory that a percentage of the staff is trained and armed. Maybe even pay the armed ones a little bonus for pulling double duty.

Disingenuous question and responses. True it won’t change people’s behavior but it most certainly could be changing the outcome.
