I-POLL on the front page:
Do you think college students should be allowed to carry guns on campus?
Yes (26%) No (71%) Not Sure (3%)
FREEP IT UP!
FReeped!
FReeped! No change in the numbers.
I really have no problem. Of course, they should have to register it with the school so the school can do a search.
That red headed nut in the theater hit is a good example of a school "missing" (ignoring) a "nut".
That pesky Constitution.
I REALLY wish I had been packing heat this morning. I was innocently walking Linda-The-Dog, when she was suddenly attacked by an off-leash pit bull! I had to physically pull the pit bull off Linda by his collar (I am a 60 year old woman), and then he turned on ME, I screamed and let go of the leash, and Linda ran with him away from me and started fighting with him. I screamed as loud as I could and a bunch of neighbors came out and subdued the pit bull (using Linda’s leash) and brought him back to his owners. He wasn’t a vicious dog, and probably just wanted to “Play” but he wouldn’t leave us alone.
He could have been the type of dog that would have killed me or my dog.
Glad you’re okay!
Linda is OK too, but she needs a bath now because she got all covered with pit bull spit.
I walk my dog with a leash. I bring Three biodegradable poop bags and dispose of them properly. I carefully choose my route so as not to infringe upon anyone else’s property rights. I make sure Linda has all her shots.
But then this stuff happens.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
LIB students - NO! They’d only hurt themselves, or an innocent bystander or one of the buildings.
Conservative students - YES! They’ve been taught to respect guns since they were babies.
... for your consideration. Hugs, Mom
What part of “. . . shall not be inFRinged” do you not understand?
Registration is inFRingement, and is the first step to confiscation.
If a person not a felon and is comfortable carrying, they should be able to carry without interference FRom the authorities.
Remember, an armed society is a polite society!
Yes (27%)
No (70%)
Not sure (3%)
Yes 27% No 69%
I think the school knowing that you carry is best for everyone. Suppose it is stolen? And I don’t consider giving the school notice of your carry is an infringement.
Should be worded to reflect reality: Do you think people who have state issued concealed carry licenses (who must be over 21 years of age to obtain such a license) should be allowed to carry guns on college campuses?
Bet the percentages would be reversed.
As my grandaddy used to say, "Figures don't lie, but liars can figure."
I don't think "giving" your school notice is an infringement either, but that's not what would happen.
You would be forced under penalty of law to give such information. It won't be voluntary. You would be threatened with fines and/or imprisonment, even for inadvertent violation.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. (multiple votes using multiple internetz devices are allowed!) And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
