Remember Pearl Harbor.
Every time I have been to Pearl Harbor, I have seen stunned and appalled Japanese tourists coming out of the theater after having seen the excellent documentary that is provided at the Visitors’ Center. The apparently had NO IDEA that their Emperor and government had committed this heinous, sneaky, and dishonorable attack.
It is a very important lesson for all of us. What children are taught in school becomes their world view. If they are taught propaganda or false history, that is what they believe is the truth.
The tears of remorse, disbelief, and shame on the tourists’ faces were genuine, but they were more upset that they had been fed a pack of lies their whole lives and didn’t realize it till that moment. Betrayal is a horrible thing.

"The Girl Can't Help It" isn't really a Christmas movie, but some of the action takes place at Christmas time. It is the story of a has-been gangster who teams up with a down-and-out theatrical agent to make his girlfriend a singing star, despite the fact that she is musically talentless. At one point, the gangster discloses that he has written some songs while in prison, including a Christmas carol entitled, "No Lights on the Christmas Tree, Mama--They're Using the Electric Chair Tonight."
Songs featured in the film include:

And I worry about what kids today are being taught. And where would we adults be if we only had access to the alphabet tv stations...so many lies and half truths. Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...lots of lessons today?

My Dad was a WW II vet. He’s been gone for some years now but I always think of him on this day. Pearl Harbor Day was very important to him. It’s good that people still remember what a milestone that day was in our history.
