After a year in which Republicans had precious little for which to be thankful, perhaps it's not surprising that party leaders and the faithful spent a good chunk of the long Thanksgiving weekend obsessing instead over 2016

No God please... no more...
Not giving you grief here. It’s your right to vote. It’s also your right not to vote. I really cherish my votes for Reagan. You’re doing your best to live up to his ideals today, and that’s what’s important.
Good for you...
It was 1928 when the Republicans last won the White House without someone named Nixon or Bush on that presidential ticket.
Maybe we can find a conservative named Nixon to place on the ticket in 2016.
Some people hate him, some people like him with reservations and most would probably be fine with him, although he’s not a very exciting candidate and I doubt that he could gather enough enthusiasm to get out the vote (depending on who the Dems run in 2016, of course).
But whatever your opinion, let’s discuss this rationally and stop screaming stupidities like “keep outta da bushes” and going into full Bush derangement syndrome. We need to get together a few strong candidates for 2016 and not act as if we were caught by surprise, as happened the last time. The reason we got such a lousy candidate (Romney), who had already bought the candidacy from the GOP-e, was that no group had started preparing other candidates and getting support.
And we don’t need people like certain super-stars, who keep us hanging and never even let us know whether they plan to run or not until it’s too late (and then decide not to).
So we don’t need any prima donnas, and we don’t need any “sure things” (like Romney, who had actually been running for the candidacy for 4-6 years already). But we also don’t need the last-minute candidates we seemed to have, none of whom had an organization or effective publicity outreach. Like it or not, you have to have that.
So some rational discussion would be nice. Then pick a candidate and work for him or her.
By 2016, we have to have some viable possibilities. Jeb Bush could be one of them. And if you don’t like him, who are some others you could suggest?
Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha—me too. I can’t believe I missed my chances with Reagan. (I may be the poster child for raising the voting age.)
No! Hell no! No way! No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!
The Plan is back on schedule. Obama messed up Hillary’s Turn, Romney almost messed up Jeb’s Turn - now all is right with the elite’s world again. :)
That’s right. I held my nose voting for McCain, felt good about voting for Romney after the first debate but never again will I vote for a rino.
The GOP will not listen to the conservitives so therefore I will not support them anylonger. If my nonvote elects a demorat than so be it. Don’t care what my like minded believers say, I won’t do it again.
Maybe, just maybe when the GOP loses more and more members/votes they will get the message. Short of lower GOP turnout, I don’t know how else to get the message accross to them. They no longer support my social and fiscal conservitive views.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Well...the GOP could dig up Bob Dole and run him again.
We need a Constitutional amendment that prohibits any more Bushes or Clintons from being President.
Although unscientific, Right Wing News has a poll asking:
“...the following 10 candidates which one would you ***LEAST LIKE*** to see as our 2016 nominee?
#1-Cristie
#2-Jeb Bush
"Stay out 'de Booshes."

And the REAL reason for the GOP push for amnesty comes to light. I agree with JJ, “Stay out da bushes.”
Jeb Bush’s ticket to the White House is his wife Columba Bush. She was born in Mexico to a migrant worker father. Their three children will work hard for this because the oldest son wants to be in politics next. Their daughter has battled drugs so the MSM will love her. Her position on abortions I don’t know but if she is lke the other Bush “ladies” she would probably favor it.
If the GOP is stupid enough to do that, I will hold my nose and vote for the democrat. The most pernicious democrat is not as dangerous as the dynasty that some apprently feel the Bush family is entitled too. No more Bushes!
The last time the Republicans won a presidential election without a Bush or a Nixon on the ticket was 1928.
