I didn’t know about a power outtage.
Maybe this track goes through the middle of town? Likely this town might exist originally because of a track.
Prayers for strength for the families and healing for the injured.
Prayers offered up for these heroes and their families.
Thanks for your posts LUV W.
Take care...
That’s another good question, although the main drag in this town may have the tracks intersect.
Thanks for the mention of the area around the incident.
Sure am sorry folks are having to go through this.
That’s interesting. I guess there were reports of power outages and some folks saying the lights and gate weren’t working too. Guess they’ll have to figure it all out over time, unless your report is accurate, and they’re already sure it was working.
I appreciate the mention.
So sad to see folks trying to do a good for the troops, and then this. I’m sure the organizers must be terribly demoralized.

Oh Luvy this is terrible. Prayers up.
p.s. you would think by now that the train industry would have some kind of early warning system, when there are things on the tracks, to allow them to stop in time. Judging by the number of train accidents in the last few years, if they have something like it, they don’t work and need to be improved. This accident SHOULD NEVER have happened. Someone should have coordinated with the train depot(s).
I’ve been listening to reports about this today. Prayers for all the vets and their families.
FRIDAY IS FOR HEROES Here's a picture of Sgt. Joshua Michael of Hereford, TX- one of the victims in the fatal train accident in Midland. He's survived by his wife and 2 children. We're told Sgt. Michael pushed his wife off the float to save her life. 37 year old Army SGM Gary Stouffer and 47 year old Army SGM Lawrence Boivin were pronounced dead at the scene. 34 year old Army SGT Joshua Michael and 43 year old Army SGM William Lubbers were transported and later pronounced dead at Midland Memorial Hospital. |
I thought of you as soon as Fox News broke in with Breaking last night.
I’ve been praying for our heroes and everyone involved ever since.
God rest and hold dear the sweet souls of the deceased.
Heartbreaking! Thanks for prayers!
Oh dear Lord, I just saw this. I haven’t been watching news channels since the election. Just saw it here. This is heart breaking. Not only the vets and their families to pray for, but for the engineer that has to live with this. I’ve been told that engineers who kill people never get over it. I know one who never got back on a train after a fatal accident. Lord grant strength to all the survivors and to the families of those killed.
This is very sad! They are all in my prayers.
Prayers up
Our Father in heaven, please show Your mercy and compassion for all those affected by this train wreck in Midland, TX. We ask that You accept the departed souls into Your heavenly embrace, ease the pain of all those injured and heal their wounds, and comfort all those involved and their families. In the name of Your Holy Son Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Oh dear Lord, forgive me for not thinking about the engineer! Thank you, sweet friend, for telling me about the engineer you knew.
Yes, this tragedy is heartbreaking. I can’t understand it, so I’m praying all the more. Lord, give comfort to the grieving survivors, heal the injured and hold dear the souls of the deceased.
Thank you from my heart for your postings on FB, too.
Thank you, dear Onyx, for your prayers and loving heart and concern!
