The Daily Beast and The Washington Post were reporting and tweeting, respectively, that the CIA said her claim was false.

Oh.

OK.

I'd like to think the results of this last election could be reversed in the same way the democrats and media reversed the re-election of Richard Nixon (this time for good cause) with the way this scandal is shaping up.

In a just world. Oh well.

Well that would acknowledge the large force of security and heavy arms the Embassy had on hand.........oh wait, it was just an unsecured house with just a few stand your ground American patriots.

Well there is still that video of an arab with his hands cuffed behind his back being led to a get a way car at the embassy. The video is floating around on the net still. Would he be one of those prisoners Broadwell was talking about?

“Late last night, the CIA denied this report of a secret prison in its now-abandoned Benghazi facility:”

LOL! Of course the CIA denies this. What else would we expect them to do?

We still are getting more muddling of the timeline and events in Benghazi.

I seem to recall from some of the earlier articles that the CIA (IIRC) had captured a couple of prisoners but the Libyan officials forced them to be turned over to the Libyans.

At the time, the reporting seemed to imply that the prisoners were taken the night of the attacks.

==

There have been too many versions and denials/confirmations of various events to really know what happened. It will take a full investigation — and even then, we will probably won’t get much resolution. All we would probably get is a select group of commissioners to write up a report similar to the 911 Commission Report.

2 prisoners does not a secret prison make. Looking at the bigger picture this brings me back to when Jennifer Griffin was asked “How solid are your sources?”
“As solid as they get.” Mmmmm......

MAN, is it only me who reads through these articles only to be more confused at the end? Broadwell has an affair with Petraeus, Broadwell states publicly that the Benghazi attack was actually a jailbreak, but in the background, Broadwell is sending harassing email to Jill Kelly? Circles upon circles upon circles. This crap is getting dizzying.

The terrorists know what was going on in Benghazi because they took whatever sensitive documentation they wanted. It is US that pay for these gun running missions that will not get told what we are buying and selling.

She NEVER said they had a secret prison. That was some butthole reporter's take on what she said, which was nothing more than we already knew.
Furthermore, this is really starting to pi$$ me off. Why are they trying so hard to destroy this woman? Something about this whole thing is just too far out of the realm of reason. They are trying to make a sympathetic figure out of petraeus and using every derogatory adjective they can think of for Paula Broadwell, and the more they do, the worse he looks. /rant

Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.

If the CIA is denying it, that means it's true and they're scared.

For the Timeline:

Her speech in Denver was October 26.

WaPo Headline:

House Majority Leader Cantor heard of Petraeus affair Oct. 27 from FBI source he didn’t know

I can not find a reference as to when Reichert was contacted by the "whistleblower." However Cantor is quoted in the NYTs as saying he was contacted by an FBI employee.

Biographer’s E-Mails to Woman Led F.B.I. to Petraeus

"...“I was contacted by an F.B.I. employee concerned that sensitive, classified information may have been compromised and made certain Director Mueller was aware of these serious allegations and the potential risk to our national security,” Mr. Cantor said in a statement. ...

What if the goal of the attackers for this raid was to grab the Ambassador and trade him for a couple of prisoners the CIA had? What do we really know about the Ambassador’s location? We know that he said goodby to the Turkish diplomat at 8:30pm. After that, we’re TOLD that he was in the safe room with the computer guy and one security guy. We have yet to hear from the security guy. The computer guy is dead. We see some photos of the Ambassador, alive or dead, being carried around. Then, we’re TOLD, some looters take the Ambassador to a hospital. We’re TOLD that some Americans go to the hospital and find that the Ambassador was alive when brought to the hospital, but he died from smoke inhalation. These Americans take his body to the Benghazi airport where it’s eventually returned to the US. Several people tried several times to find the Ambassador after the security guy went out the window at the mission. Nobody finds him? Some looters find him? Things get curiouser and curiouser.

Now that I think about it, they said they had captured some of the attackers and turned them over to somebody in Libya. Why would our people do that? Wouldn’t we be for bringing them to the US for questioning? I don’t think our people give up attackers that easy. Doesn’t smell right.
