Post your "I Told You So" Vanities here!
DON'T Start the 50-millionth Vanity thread!
Find your allies on either side:
In this corner: "Romney RINO wasn't conservative enough to really win Purple PA and Ohio!"
In the other: "The Social Conservatives scared off too many Indiots!"
We can have the bile out here and leave the other threads to sincere discussion. Then the Admins can delete this later when we're all embarrassed of what we've said.
Bingo.
Interesting how 'prop-lifers' are often vilified as 'one issue voters', but look at the other side? Women came out in droves for Obama solely to protect their 'reproductive rights'. Their 'one issue' swept them to victory...
Dammit...’prop lifers’ should have been pro-lifers...
I think that Congressman Roskam would have been the best IL U.S. Senate candidate, but he said that he won’t run. Two days ago, I became the campaign manager of a Chad Koppie, a conservative Republican who hopes to replace Sen. Durbin. Chad has been a school board member, township trustee, and a member of a county school board. In 1998, he was the only conservative who ran for governor, in our GOP primary. Chad got almost 20% of the vote, although he didnt spend much money. Hes pro-tax cuts, pro-spending cuts, pro-life, and pro-gun rights. On facebook, please like Chad’s campaign page.
Exactly.
All I can say is this: If the ONE ISSUE a voter is concerned with, the ONE ISSUE that they think about, morning, noon and night is the destruction of life, I have a term that fits them: Nazi. They are fixated on death.
Actually, many of the Nazis were married with families and by accounts were “normal” outside of their slaughtering, so the abortion zealots are worse.
But dems learned how to win this issue with voters by reframing it as with other issues. They started plotting this in 2005.
Abortion pills become ‘birth control’
Abortions become ‘women's health’ and 'women's choices'
Meanwhile do-do’s like Akin and that other one (’knee comment’) say stupid sounding stuff in public nuking their own causes and helping Dems. 'Rape victims are faking to get an abortion', not a winning message. Hardly helped the unborn with those.
Do Republicans really’want’ to win?
Because they sure act like they dont have a clue how.
...so the female Democrats, fixated on death, are worse than Nazis? Works for me.
Rove Boehner McConnell Morris Graham Akin Murdouck Jeb Christie GWB et al need to be sent packing and pushed away away away.
We need a new face of the party. These country club types are killing us.
I think the combine's plan is to convince Aaron Schock to run for U.S. Senator against Durbin in 2014 (they'll say it's the right time and place since he'll be over 30 and his track record so far has been winning an election to school board at 18, school board president at 21, state legislator at 23, and Congressmen at 27). Once he wins the primary, they'll sell him down the river and not lift a finger to help him beat Durbin.
With Schock running for Senate, his congressional seat will be available and the powers that be can anoint State Senator Darin LaHood as the "natural successor and clear choice", since dear ol' daddy Ray LaHood held that house seat. And then Darin can stop pretending to be conservative once he gets a cushy house seat for life. (Obama will get a new suckup pal)
I flippin' hate this state. :-(
>> Roskam. Though I doubt he would win in this wonderful state. <<
Roskam would have been the ideal choice in 2010 and would also be excellent in 2014. I don't think he wants to run in 2014, though. Against Durbin, it's doubtful, if it was an open Senate seat, he could theoretically win. (again, the biggest problem is the combine. They utterly destroyed Peter Fitzgerald and Dan Walker, and quickly turned "maverick" Pat Quinn into one of them once he assumed the governor's office). I really wish Joe Walsh would run for Governor in 2014 just to give a big middle finger to the media and political establishment in both parties, but again, I'm doubtful he could get elected.
There’s no other explaination for it...they are worse than the Nazis.
I doubt an ambitious and seemingly intelligent young Congressman would run against Turban whom I unfortunately have to view as invincible until it’s indicated he is not.
Of course if he runs for Governor, same story, his seat becomes open.
LaHood Sr. is a traitor of the highest order. His son and anyone who would support him can pound sand. I honestly would not vote for Jr. LaHood even if he was running against Durbin and tied in the polls.
