Dozens of voters in Pueblo County, Colorado have claimed electronic voting machines have changed their votes for Mitt Romney to votes for President Barack Obama.
The Pueblo County Republican Party has asked the Colorado Secretary of State's office to investigate the matter.
A voter told KRDO Newschannel 13 that a checkmark appeared next to Obama's name after she cast her vote for Romney.
"I wonder where my vote really counted," she stated.
Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert Ortiz admitted he was aware of "fewer than ten instances" of votes being switched and conceded such errors have occurred since the county has used the electronic voting machines in 2006. He blamed those changes on human error.
Gilbert said voters had several chances to check their ballot before submitting it, but Pueblo Republican Chair Becky Mizel said the county's clerk office should, "at the very minimum," place a note on the door of polling places informing voters to lookout for potential problems with the voting machines.
Last week, the Republican National Committee sent letters to six states, asking them to more closely monitor electronic voting machines -- and to re-calibrate them -- on Election Day. Colorado was one of those six states.

Paper ballots with an optical reader and purple dye (plus ultra violet) on the finger.
Ugh cheaters
Those riots will be over Obamagabe winning because the voting machines turned to Obamagabe.
“Human error” my @$$. The fix is in by the commies. Where the hell are the buffoons from the U.N.? As usual, bull**** is going on right under their noses and they can’t even smell it. Another U.N. SNAFU.
I wonder how many blue state inner-city machines have been ‘programmed’ to vote multiple times? This intentional fraud crap stinks. It’s NOT an ‘error’.
Mitt is organized...he knows that to win, he must prevent Obama from stealing it.
Oh no.
Nothing that is going is “Human error” the same crap is going on in Ohio and other states..click to vote for Romney and it shows up as a vote for Obama..if it were “human error” it would just give you an error message if you were doing something wrong or pick Gary Johnson or something..but surprise surprise, these votes are going for Obama, gee I wonder why
I am sure this is just a coincidence, always from Romney to Obama. Just a coincidence.
Hopefully R/R have saved up a huge war chest to combat any voter fraud with their lawyers...
it doesn’t matter how people vote if the machines are programmed right, they can learn from Hugo Chavez
Yes, everybody who has an electronic voting machine and can see that it is changed needs to report it to the poll workers AND to R/R. When they report it they should ask how many Obama votes at that precinct thus far have been reported as being switched to Romney votes, and vice versa.
For those of us who vote with paper ballots, we’ll never know whether our vote was changed.
I’m sure holder and the un will get it straightened out.
The GOP wrote a letter
I am sure that will fix everything!
He was very polite but I thought "what's this all about?"
After thinking about it, I wonder if he wasn't acting on orders from the local NAACP or Obama office.
I am in the deep South...so a direct Obama force would be ousted ASAP.
Still....
God bless you and God bless the U.S.A. next Tuesday!
Having the New Black Panthers in front of polling places was too obvious. Having Romney votes count as Obama votes is more subtle and harder to prove. The Democrats are without honor.
As a poll worker here in Aiken County, SC, I have seen this happen.
The immediate fix is to recalibrate the touch screen. The long term fix is, when programming the ballot, to put more space between the colored buttons the voter must push. Less chance for the machine to misinterpret the touch.
