Indeed. We have an actual SHTF situation here ("F" referring to "Floor", apparently). Looks like the projections of half the population east of the Mississippi dying off within two months were overly optimistic.
Anyone who can't figure out basic hygiene quickly is going to be dead in weeks, not months.

A city where a lot of the housing is multistory does pose problems - particularly if windows can’t be opened.
I think it is learned helplessness to a certain extent. Poop in toilet lined with garbage bag. Put garbage bag accumulation in a sealed second bag and keep it until it can be picked up which may turn out to be a week or more. Not fun but a darn sight better than sliding down the hallways on human excrement.

Use a bucket and hang it out the window when not in use. Any college kid who lived in a dorm would do that with smelly sneakers.
NYC has become one giant superdome. Where the heck is FEMA? They were supposed to have fixed all this (sarcasm alert)
I am confused. I thought Bronco Bama single-handedly already took care of all the Sandy mess. At least that is what the media and Christie’s wank-fest convinced me of.
