We are announcing this morning an important development at Newsweek and The Daily Beast. Newsweek will transition to an all-digital format in early 2013. As part of this transition, the last print edition in the United States will be our Dec. 31 issue.
Meanwhile, Newsweek will expand its rapidly growing tablet and online presence, as well as its successful global partnerships and events business.
Newsweek Global, as the all-digital publication will be named, will be a single, worldwide edition targeted for a highly mobile, opinion-leading audience who want to learn about world events in a sophisticated context. Newsweek Global will be supported by paid subscription and will be available through e-readers for both tablet and the Web, with select content available on The Daily Beast.

I am thrilled to be able to post this since I have a long tirade of anti-Newsweek posts in my hat. Seeing this first thing this morning after breakfast made me whoop.
How's that hope and change working for you MSM? The bowl is starting to swirl with the rest of your POS compatriots soon to follow.
Newsweek sleeps with the dinosaurs.
There goes one.
Who is next?
Na na nah nah, Na na nah nah,
Hey hey hey, Good-bye!
YES!!! I guess more unemployed liberal journalists out there. Maybe they can write some blogs for free for the Huffington Post now.
The dying acts of a horribly biased anachronism that is trying to save the last vestiges of its ‘intellectual base’ by forsaking the working class drivers, printers, distributors, etc.
This will give their biased writers/editors some time to find other insurgent jobs, at the expense of the working class that supported them all those years. In the end, the cause wasn’t the workers who printed it but the diseased minds of the wretches that wrote it.
Dinosaur Media Death ping.
Guess they just learned something about supply and demand. Those tears are delicious.
Pray for America
RIP Newsweak - thank goodness and good riddance.
It is owned by the Daily Beast, the home of that idiot liberal Rolling Stone columnist Matt Taibbi.
It was liberal but fair when Katherine Graham of the Washington Post owned it, but when the Beast got a hold of the magazine, it became moonbat ville.
Sadly, TIME used to be CONSERVATIVE when Henry Luce ran it...but after he died, it became an anti conservative crap rag.
I share your enthusiasm of the death of Newsfreek.
As if.
Huh. You’d think that with this thriving recovery, such things wouldn’t happen ...
Maybe Obama will bail them out before he gets thrown out of office.
Newsweek Global = 3 homosexuals sitting in New York.
Now if only we could get the New York Times to join them.
Will the copies finally be “worth” something now that they are considered relics rather than news?
