Republican Rep. Paul Ryan stopped by a soup kitchen in Youngstown, Ohio, over the weekend for what seemed to be your typical campaign photo opportunity. During his 15-minute visit on Saturday morning, the vice presidential candidate donned a white apron and offered to wash some dishes thatas several bloggers and a pool reporter later pointed outdid not appear to be dirty.
But according to the president of Mahoning County's St. Vincent De Paul Society, the faith-based charity that runs the soup kitchen, the campaign did not have permission and "ramrodded their way" into the facility.

Does that mean the soup kitchen people will be returning and rejecting all the assistance/money they recieve from Conservative doners?
St. Vincent de Paul Society = Catholic
Paul Ryan = Catholic
A Catholic going to a Catholic soup kitchen. So what?
They say whenever a candidate makes this kind of a stop, the business loses a lot of revenue because customers - oh, wait. . .
And in other news a pizza shop is missing four pizzas, suspect still at large.
Maybe they're not Catholics at all, but rather the wild-eyed, baby-killing, socialist, packer/muncher, variety of cafeteria "catholics"

The guy who runs the Ohio soup kitchen that Paul Ryan appeared at this weekend tells TMZ ... contrary to his earlier statement, Ryan DID get dirty with dirty dishes.
Brian Antal tells us ... the V.P. hopeful was only at the kitchen for 10 to 15 minutes and only interacted with one of their “clients.”
Antal — who wasn’t at the soup kitchen at the time of the Ryan visit — said his volunteers left some dirty dishes in the kitchen for Ryan to clean.
But when we asked him if the Ryan people had orchestrated the dish-cleaning stunt, Antal said, “No comment.”
There is video floating around, showing Ryan giving a pan one scrub — and that was the extent of the washing.

of course, one has to ask why Ryan went to a St V d P in the first place. I guess into the den of the beast?
In the “Comments” section of that article someone said that Antal is a big time Dem and hates the Tea Party. But we already figured that.

“The photo op they did wasn’t even accurate,” Antal continued. “He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”...Is this like Clinton and Al Gore stringing cable for computers in the schools? You KNOW those two engineers were able to figure that out. (It’s a wonder Al Gore didn’t hang himself and Clinton electrocuted himself).
The Church (at least officially) is actually being pretty good. But there are a lot of lousy Vatican II leftist priests and a lot of horrible “Peace and Justice” laypeople out there, and they’re obviously not going to support the Church or even their local bishop in the fight against Obamacare and the other things that Barry is trying to do to us.
Our pastor didn’t even read the excellent letter from our bishop (which was supposed to be READ AT EVERY MASS) but just stuck the text in the bulletin. And this is in the Cathedral parish, no less.
Excellent! I'm going to have to look into that.
They would have been lined up for autographs...probably on the back of the parish bulletin.
No soup for you!
My father died several weeks ago and I considerng giving clothing, bedding, etc, to our local St. Vincents - now I am having second thoughts.
I guess I have to interview the leadership of any charity I consider to determine whether they have issues with specific political parties/candidates.
If they do, I will not force them to accept donations from the estate of a conservative Republican WWII vet.
It is a shame for a supposed ‘charity’ to play politics.
LOL!!!!
Monday's news said they had local permission.
