The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie - directly contracting the rest of the Obama administration.
By trying to distance her department from the inept and deceptive handling of the Benghazi attack, which left U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American officials dead, Hillary Clinton could help herself politically for a 2016 presidential run.
A dramatic new account by the State Department reveals that Stevens was locked inside a 'safe room' choking to death from diesel-heavy smoke as the building around him burned to the ground.
Alongside him was a security guard, tasked with the impossible choice between staying in the deadly room - or facing the rocket-propelled grenades and machine-guns outside.

The State Department's insistence it never bought the story - expressed by the White House and Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations - that a crude anti-Islam film made in California triggered the attack gives ammunition against Obama both to the Romney campaign and congressional Republicans.
State Department sources have said that Clinton has never forgotten that Rice, who served in her husband Bill's administration, was an early supporter of Obama. Rice has ambitions to take over from Clinton if Obama is re-elected but the Benghazi debacle could scupper her chances.
In a briefing on Tuesday, State Department officials said 'others' in the executive branch concluded initially that the attack was part of a protest against the film, which ridiculed the Prophet Muhammad. That was never the State Department's conclusion, reporters were told.

It’s the missiles! Why else would they attack that facility? They weren’t out to kill an Ambassador, they were out to stop us from recovering those missiles. Obama and Hillary gave those missiles to the terrorists by their incompetent actions. Think about it! If those missiles are used in a terrorist attack, they’ll be traced back to Obama and Hillary’s actions! Don't know for sure but it feels like more details are coming on this.
If so, it will be seen as another cover-up because the administration did not reveal the info earlier...it seems like they're trying to manage the story beforehand. They've already got the Stevens family saying they don't want the Stevens death discussed anymore...probably a pre-emptive move.
As far as we know, she initiated the fiction. Her plausible deniablity as being the originator depends on the chain of communication being kept unknown.
Hillary would have more credibility if she would go on TV, tell the world that the current administration sacrificed the ambassador on the altar of political correctness so as to please his co-religionists. If she would then resign in protest, I might start believing her.

Regardless of how the events actually played out, it’s irrefutable proof that this administration and its state department are incapable of properly running things. They’re either woefully inept or they’re treasonous, either way they MUST be removed from positions of power.
This attack went on for six hours in the middle of the afternoon in Washington DC. They were in constant communications, even images were sent. They were facing a of 170-200...the consulate would innevitably fall without assistance. The scandal is not about the desperate fight at the consulate in Benghazi on September 11th, it’s not about faulty communications, it’s not about a failure in intelligence. It’s about bad decision making before, during and after the attack on the consulate.

Actually the money (over $100K) was spent on a charging station for the embassy's Volts, not for Volts themselves. That story was posted on FR within the past few days.
