Rick Santelli, the man who helped launch the Tea Party with his impassioned comments from the trading floor in 2009, sees the hand of politics at work in today's announcement that the unemployment rate has dipped below 8%.
Speaking on CNBC's Squawk Box this morning just minutes after the number was announced, Santelli said: "I told you they'd get it under 8%--they did!"

Did anyone ever doubt Joe Wilson?
Does anyone know where to find those stories? I tried, but I couldn't find them.
One of my friends, a rabid Obama fan, has been out of work for Obama’s whole term. She even went to grad school. Still nothing. But she will still vote for him. I just don't get it.
About two weeks or so ago there were news stories about how the Department of Labor “found” over a half million jobs by correcting their survey methods (or something like that).
*********************************************************************
It’s becoming very obvious that the career civil servants at the Department of Labor are every bit as corrupt as the Obama administration and willing to do whatever it takes to advance Obama’s reelection chances.
These career civil servants are currently under a so called “pay freeze”. That pay freeze needs to remain in place for however many decades it takes for these impossible-to-fire leeches to have their salaries matched by the gradually increasing minimum wage. Even at minimum wage they will still be grossly overpaid.

these numbers get media spin, but other than the serious Obamabot, is anyone really going to believe this and change their vote?? Prices keep getting higher; we all know people who don’t have jobs. I don’t know anyone who has extra money that they can throw around on “fun” things. I certainly don’t spend money on anything if I don’t have to. Interest rates are crummy...the list goes on and on. Who will believe this crap?
I serve on my county’s board of assessors. I live in a tourist town. Hotel occupancy is so low that we are having to lower the taxable values of most properties. And you know what that means, less taxes for the operating budget, fewer jobs, etc. etc.
Never thought I would actually live Orwell’s 1984
I hope you are right but first debate performance is not an indicator: W lost the first debate against Kerry (who served in Vietnam) and still won the election.
When Meet the Press did their 'charts' a few weeks back I knew the fix was in - and commented on it. Meet the Press does NOT have charts that trash dems... and this one did. That meant the 'payoff' was coming right before the election - when the chart could show the great improvement. I assumed the numbers would be fixed before the election and commented on it in several posts... Nice to be right.
Santelli's a smart guy - he's got their number. But on this one, lots of us had dems and their boys in the MSM figured out...
We know they cheat, we know they lie... the rest is easy to figure out.
Yes, this is just what I mean. I can’t see how anyone can really believe these numbers unless they’re a totally committed Obamabot or possibly a member of the media. This is just crazy. I feel like I’m living in an alternative universe.
This time though, it is a WHOLE different ball game, in other words, that was THEN, this is NOW.
Voter fraud is one of biggest concerns.
GDP this year is running at 1.3%. 1.3% can not produce 1 million jobs per month. 1.3% growth is consistent with job trends of about 120,000 per month which is what was reported. The unemployment rate lie is big lie but I don’t think it will convince any undecideds.
It doesn’t matter...it doesn’t feel like 7.8% and Americans will vote accordingly.
I've been thinking "1984" all morning long.
And the White House is raising the chocolate ration from 1/2 kilo to 1/4 kilo.
If Obama’s re-elected it’s gonna get a lot worse...
Ping to post 22.
Any answers?
How much does a soul cost? Not very much, I guess.
