Before Romney issued his statement today, an open mic capture the press coordinating questions to ask Romney, with one saying no matter who he calls on were covered on the one question. Ive transcribed it to the best of my ability but the audio is below for verification:
Ive labeled one as the CBS News reporter as I believe it is Nancy Cordes who works for CBS News. Ive I gotten that wrong I apologize and will correct.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: pointing out that the Republicans *unintelligible* Obama .
CBS REPORTER: Thats the question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: *unintelligible*
CBS REPORTER: Yeah thats the question. I would just say do you regret your question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your question? Your statement?
CBS REPORTER: I mean your statement. Not even the tone, because then he can go off on
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And then if he does, if we can just follow up and say but this morning your answer is continuing to sound *becomes unintelligble*
CBS REPORTER: You cant say that..
**Later**
CBS REPORTER: Im just trying to make sure that were just talking about, no matter who he calls on were covered on the one question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?

OUTSTANDING.
I won't hold my breath, sadly. It's too bad, the dude is an excellent speaker and a rather eloquent case-maker for the cause. He just seems to lack that certain ____________ and others can make a stab at filling in the blank.
Oh, for the good-old olden days when past RNC chair Haley Barbour barreled into offensive mode and could be found all over the tube the minute a huge issue or a crisis popped up.
Haley not only had get-up-and-go but he had that certain sotheran thing.....THE FORCE....an iron fist inside a slow, drawly accent.

Ok- I just got home from work- I’m in shock...I cannot wrap my mind around any of this.
WTH went ON today???
Agreed.
Thanks...I’m still trying to grasp it all- trying to catch up.
This is a MESS. But Romney has (in spite of the carping media on the left AND the right) been the only adult in sight.
VERY informative piece with a LOT of important detail.
Romney seems to be the only grown up in the room.
NROs Trinko destroys the press on this. Here are just a few of the questions asked by real journalists.
1. Reporter brings up that Romney had a toughly worded statement last night, and asks, Do you regret the tone at all given what we know now?
2. Do you think, though, coming so soon after the events really had unfolded over night was appropriate, to be weighing in on this as this crisis was unfolding in real time? Follow-up: What did the White House do wrong then, Gov. Romney, if they put out a statement saying they disagreed with it?
3. The world is watching. Isnt this itself a mixed signal when you criticize the administration at a time that Americans are being killed? Shouldnt politics stop for this?
My answer to the third one:
“SO when do we march and STORM their offices?!!”
I have a job and a family to support.
Please schedule it on a weekend.
This is sickening. I hope this spreads like wildfire.
On a day when the story is “Arab Spring praised and funded by Obama Administration turns into 1979 Iran”.... the press was worried that Romney had ‘spoken too soon’ about the horrible mixed messages being sent by the U.S.
Props to Mitt for handling the reporters easily. At least PRAVDA reporters were under threat of the gulag. American PRAVDA does the Left’s bidding simply for ideological reasons.
This was on Hannity, but you are right....this needs to get out...somehow we have to make people aware....the media is so corrupt.
You could not be more right. I work at a very liberal company that has MSLSD on all day, everyday with most of the televisions muted with closed captioning on.
It is impossible for someone like me to ignore and only drives me crazy because they present 1 side of the issue exclusively. I really can’t believe the way these idiots just sit around and digest all the propaganda while considering it fact. It’s hard for me to stay optimistic in such an environment and is seriously starting to affect my blood pressure.
I am seriously going to turn the TV off tomorrow and tell my manager that it’s affecting my performance so I request that he leave it off. I cant toe the line and risk my job over it in this economy but I will at least make that first attempt
Jackals are probably one of my favorite animals. But even so, you are still insulting them!
Yup. Political advertising is what is keeping the legacy media going. They cry crocodile tears about all the "money in politics" since it goes mostly to them.
Romney did well but the question one biased reporter asked was what makes you better than the President with foreign policy?
