Obama Campaign Responds to Eastwood's Empty Chair Jibe

The Twitter account of Barack Obama responded last night to Clint Eastwood's Republican convention speech mocking Obama with an empty chair.

A photo captioned "This seat's taken" was posted featuring a rear view of Obama presiding over a meeting while seated in a highback leather chair with a brass plaque on the back embossed, "THE PRESIDENT January 20, 2009"

That was the whole point of Eastwood's skit, was it not?

And so Obama , who was not watching the convention by the way, helps Eastwood make the point that there is no One home in the Presidential Chair, especially when the One is sitting in it.

I read a recent rumor this morning that this was payback to Hollywood for the Oscar shun on Gran Torino, and Clint was/is retired.

He did The Curve’ movie as he was loyal to his friend, who directed the new movie. Regardless, Clint won’t get a job now with Warner. That’s tolerance for you..
