Oh my gosh, Mac....did they put a soft cast, or something, on your ankle just to get you by until tomorrow?

Surgery does sound like the next step. Will your walker keep you going until the next step?

Lean on your boys!!!!

*HUGS* a prayers sent for whatever your current need!!

I grew up near Cape Lookout. On the Labor Day after we married, my wife and I drove back to Norfolk from my parents (near Morehead City, NC) by way of the Outer Banks, visiting all of the lighthouses there. What a long drive.

We live in Norfolk, and Cape Henry is in Virginia Beach, and Old Point Comfort is on what used to be the army base at Fort Monroe in Hampton.

We visited Assateague when we went to the annual pony swim in Chincoteague, VA

I’ve also been to the top of Cape Hatteras (as a kid), Currituck Beach, and the old Cape Henry lighthouses.

There are two Cape Henry lighthouses, the old one bulit in 1792 and the “new” one built in 1881.

It was the left ankle, Connie!

As you can see, it's in a soft splint. I go to see my Orthopedist tomorrow morning - I suspect he will schedule me for surgery immediately

Soft splint - the walker is damned near useless - it must have taken me 10 minutes to get from the van to the front door of the house. Should know more in the morning.

Piper closer to Nana and Poppa!! Woohoo!!

Do you have an extra room for the Flyboy, or does he get Piper’s room? I can hear the, “but that’s my room”. LOL!

Glad you know the new guy....as always, time will indeed tell. My brother’s ex never did figure it out. Thankfully Ash did as a young teen.

Each will have their own room - we have a 4 bedroom home.
From what you’ve said, Ash is a very level-headed and responsible young lady.
