First a little bit about CBO: I work with them every single day; very good people; great professionals. They do their jobs well. But their job is to score what is placed in front of them. And what has been placed in front of them is a bill that is fill of gimmicks and smoke and mirrors.
Now what do I mean when I say that?
First off, the bill has ten years of tax increases and ten years of Medicare cuts to pay for six years of spending. The true ten year cost when subsidies kick-in? $2.3 trillion.
The bill is full of gimmicks that more than erase the false claim of deficit reduction:

And Paul Ryan was the ONLY one to take it to 0bama on the House floor over 2 years ago on healthcare. The only one to challenge him face to face. If he is to be the VP nominee, great choice. But I’d also be pleased if it were Bobby Jindal. But he could be HHS Secretary and I’d be satisfied. And while I love Rubio and Allen West, they need to serve out their first terms, grow in those offices and take leadership positions going forward. We’ve got a strong bench and it can only get better.

You are right on the Medicare issue to a point. Where Obama has taken 500M out of Medicare Seniors have not had a chance to see YET how that will affect them. It will take some good campaigning on R&R’s part with lots of Doctors standing up for Repub plan.
I have tears I am so happy about Ryan but also think about how the Dems (like nasty Beckel) just can’t wait to ruin a good, good man.

Not this pro-lifer. I cannot stand before God and vote yes for death. Republicans made their choice for presidential nominee. I will not vote for him. Either way, Obama or Romney, death wins, America loses, babies dismembered like our wounded warriors. When you look at our wounded warriors remember what you voted for.

Barack Obama’s campaign is a three-legged stool. The plan is to:
1)Smear Romney.
2)Convince Americans that the Obama economy a)isn’t so bad, and b)will get better.
3)Sell Socialism while demeaning capitalism from the bully pulpit.
Number two is the key, but number 2 cannot be accomplished without number three.
Paul Ryan will absolutely saw leg number three out from under the stool, and the stool will crumble to the ground.
Will be interesting to see how fast Faux News prepares their assault on Ryan.

The video was great and Ryan obviously has a grasp of Obama's fiscal and economic insanity but how many people will watch this video and how will the MSM, Obama's Reelection Committee, allow Ryan any airtime for anything except stupid, useless subjects like Bain and Romney's tax returns that heretofore have been the only broadcasted topics of discussion?
