I’ve traveled more than most yet I always return to my home State of Wisconsin. I guess I gravitate to areas where people have no accents.

Relaxation Feels Like Home to You
You believe that your home should be your sanctuary. Life is stressful enough in the outside world.
You take it easy when you're at home. It's the place where you feel like you can truly be yourself.

You are the type of person who has deep hobbies and interests. You treasure your alone time.
You could spend all day at home if you had to. You always can find plenty to do around the house.

Fire at Midnight ~Jethro Tull

I believe in fires at midnight -
when the dogs have all been fed.
A golden toddy on the mantle -
a broken gun beneath the bed.
Silken mist outside the window.
Frogs and newts slip in the dark -
too much hurry ruins the body.
I’ll sit easy ... fan the spark
kindled by the dying embers of another working day.
Go upstairs ... take off your makeup -
fold your clothes neatly away.
Me, I’ll sit and write this love song
as I all too seldom do -
build a little fire this midnight.
It’s good to be back home with you

The thing in my life that was always “home” was my mom. Being around her made me feel at home, and I dearly miss her.

You think a home should be casual and comfortable. You can't stand houses that are too stuffy. You like to let loose and have a good time at. And you always like it when your friends visit. You don't get too hung up on having the perfect home - you're pretty happy with what you've got. At long as you have a place to hang your hat that fits all your toys, you're content.

Hello from HOT Idaho!!! Still high 80’s for us at this time of night is rare!!!

GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Hiya Kathy...**HUGS**

Fredd has found out the creeks are good!!

He has been coming back from his outings totaly wet from head to toe.

The first year we got him we had at the time 5 plus feet of snow and I would let him out just for a short time. I watched him run the length of the yard back and forth like a chicken with his head cut off enjoying the freedom.

Well the next night and day it got warm and you could hear running water in the creeks. I put him out and a bit later I hear him at the door.......wet from head to toe!!!! not a happy camper. He found out the creek was a creek because it melted and he fell through.

Thought I would share with everyone.

Later!

BUT...

Two thirds of my parents descendants were together this past weekend. With some cousins and aunts ands uncles and friends, we were 65. A close enough to home road house fed us and bedded us and gave us room to play. An absolutely wonderful time. Then my only brother spent two nights an days with me. He left for his home 1900 miles away after breakfast this morning and I miss him so much already...

Winners And Losers

August 8, 2012

As the NFL playoff game ended and the Green Bay Packers celebrated their victory over the Chicago Bears, my daughter Lisa noticed that her little girl, 4-year-old Eliana, was crying. That seemed odd, since neither of Eliana’s parents particularly cared who won the game.

When Lisa asked Eliana why she was crying, she said, “I feel sorry for the Bears. They look so sad.”

Can we learn something from a preschooler about compassion? In a world where winning is so important and losers get rejected, forgotten, and maligned, we need this reminder: People need compassion. When we see others struggling with a loss are we willing to shed tears with them, put our arms around them, and offer to help?

A number of Scripture passages challenge us to treat others with compassion. Philippians 2:1-3 tells us to think of others above ourselves, looking out for their interests—not just ours. First Peter 3:8-12 reminds us that compassion means treating others “as brothers,” and Colossians 3:12-15 says that mercy, kindness, and humility are marks of those God has redeemed.

Look around you. See anyone going through a difficult loss? Go beyond feeling bad for them. Reach out with compassion and God’s love.

Lord, grant me a heart of compassion
So burdened for others’ needs,
That I will show them Your mercy
In attitudes, words, and deeds. —Fitzhugh
One measure of our likeness to Christ is our sensitivity to the suffering of others.

In lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. —Philippians 2:3
