MASSIVE LINES at Chick-fil-A on “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8-1-2012 | Andrea Ryan

Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.

Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.

St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)

The line goes around the block.

The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.

The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.

The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.

Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.

Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?

If you have more photos please send them in!

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.

Here’s a photo from Texas.

Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!

We went to a CFA today and it was PACKED. The drive-thru line was back out onto the major street and the walk-up line was out the door and halfway around the building. Parking was nearly impossible – we parked in the bank parking lot on the other side of the driveway and my friend walked over. He was in line for the better part of an hour and said there were probably 100 people there, but the line moved fairly quickly. He said that they had gotten a triple load of supplies, but had run out of chicken salad by 11:30 AM (when we got there). There were a couple of pastors there, one retired, going up to everyone and shaking hands, thanking and blessing them for being there. When we left, we went out the other driveway and came back past the entrance, and not only was the drive-thru line out onto the street, but there was another line that had formed to just get into the parking lot. Glad the so-called boycott backfired.

I just left the one and only CFA here and they were about to run out. The line was still jam packed. As I said above, there were FAR more people at the mall for Chik than shopping in the stores. I’m going to try again tomorrow night.

That would be great!

I’m going to email the company and ask for one. They did have one, but they put it in Bellingham, at the university. Didn’t work.

Pierce County would be perfect, especially if they stuck it right outside the front gate of Lewis-McChord. I bet those soldiers from the south would love to have some Chick-Fil-A!

That would be extremely amusing.

I heard some gay friends of mine were planning on trooping down to Chick-Fil-A today... to buy food. They weren’t amused by the government’s attempt to stifle free speech either - even on their supposed behalf.

I stopped by after work today, around 5:30, and the drive through had a line wrapped around twice, and the parking lot was full. I took some pictures, but they are on my phone, which apparently has a terrible camera. Anyways, it was completely packed inside, but I thought I'd share some things I heard while there.

They had set up a section of the restaurant to be a sit down area with a small wait staff to help organize seating and a man got up and went to pay for an iced tea. The manager was behind the counter, and said it was on the house. The man refused and said, "I insist on paying." (And I also saw that he paid more than the cost of the tea) I also heard two other people tell the manager that if they had run out of food, they would have given Chick Fil A money anyway.

Also, I heard several people say they came in for two or more meals, and one man said that for lunch he was at the original restaurant, and Newt Gingrich was there (don't know if that's true, but it is what I heard). I also heard about several traffic delays on the radio because lines from Chick Fil A's by the highway exit were backing up onto the exit ramp.

The manager also mentioned that they were just as busy as when I arrived for most of the day. And..there were so many orders backed up (due to sheer volume of people, not slow service), that they had to temporarily stop taking orders because their computers couldn't handle any more backlog.

All in all, it was really great to see so many of the silent majority stand up against liberals' attacks on marriage.

CHIK-FIL-A ROCKS!!!!! Just had a chicken sandwich and chicken strips. If I ever work their, they might be out of business. LOL!!! I had it only once that I remember a long time ago, when they were opening one across the street from the Walmart that I worked at. They were giving out free sandwiches for the grand opening. I don't know why I didn't go back. Must have been because it is a bit pricey. Good thing I do not drive by their a lot.

My wife stopped by for a late dinner tonight. She told me that the drive thru was closed and when she went inside, there was a woman telling her that they had run out of food, except that they had 3 wraps left. Out of chicken, out of nuggets, out of cones, out of peach milkshakes. Pretty amazing.

I hope they get in a shipment early tomorrow!

This just in from Littleton, CO. Very long line for the drive-up window, too. The crew working this location did a heck of a job putting out the food under trying conditions. approx. 1 hour wait, the lines were just as long when I left.

That’s good news. Most of the people at my CFA were probably pretty conservative folk (I didn’t know we had so many here!) but I heard somebody, a kind of rough looking guy, say that he just didn’t like the idea of a government being able to punish private citizens for their opinions.

My My look how tolerant the homosexuals and the media are.. Mega Sarcasm.
The " ANTI-CHRIST " will be their guy, since they will be the one's ushering the anti-christ.
Chick-fil-A should give notice to all the towns, cities they are located in who are of a liberal mind set and leave those areas and move to more conservative areas.

I posted this on another thread:

STILL PACKED when we went in Columbia, Maryland at 9:30! It was awesome. Prob 30 people ahead of us line inside...the drive-thru line was around the building.

You could feel the positive energy. Truly glad I went. Just felt so......part of a blessing.
