Students from seven schools across the country have launched petitions on Change.org demanding removal of Chick-fil-A franchises over the companys anti-gay stance.
From Change.org:
WASHINGTON, DC Students from seven schools across the country have launched petitions on Change.org in the past 48 hours demanding the removal or prevention of Chick-fil-A franchises on their campuses following this weeks media blitz over the fast food chains public stance against same-sex marriage.
The petitions target officials at the University of Illinois, University of Kansas, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Ball State University, College of Charleston, Wichita State University, and Minnesota State University.
In the last several days, the president of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy, reaffirmed the company's anti-gay marriage stance and their allocation of funds to support organizations countering the marriage equality movement, wrote James Castle, a recent graduate of KU, in his petition on Change.org. Because Chick-fil-A's stance on gay rights could create a hostile environment for queer youth and allies, having a Chick-fil-A on campus deeply conflicts with The University of Kansas Mission on Values and the Chancellor's and Provost's personal commitments to diversity at KU.
Last week, a media firestorm erupted when it was revealed that Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told a radio interviewer that as it relates to society in general, I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than You as to what constitutes a marriage... I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about."
Chick-fil-As charitable arm, The WinShape Foundation, has long been a supporter of organizations that aim to ban same-sex marriage. Through WinShape and direct charitable donations, Chick-fil-A is reported to have given more than $2 million to anti-gay groups.
The student-led movement to block Chick-fil-A from college campuses began last fall when students at 11 schools launched petitions on Change.org after a similar round of media coverage. One such student at Northeastern University started a Change.org petition that, after gaining just over 600 signatures, helped in stopping Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant on its campus. Another student at New York University launched a petition on Change.org that attracted nearly 15,000 signatures, sparking protests against Chick-fil-As presence that continue to roil the campus.

Useful Idiots all.
But that wouldn't be fascist enough.
How about defunding public schools for their anti-American policies.
[ I expect more campuses will enter the fray. Guess chicken outrage is the new flavor of the month for these hypocritical activists. ]
It is a whole lot safer than complaining about an entire politcal idealolgy/religion hell bent on stoning Homosexuals and mutilating women.
The Gay mafia is coordinating through email and social media to stifle any dissent. It’s one of their tactics and they’ve got trolls working on most news comment boards.
Those useful idiots will be eating CF on the weekends.
Once you get hooked on those CF sandwiches and biscuits, it is hard to get “unhooked.”
They will be back.
Anyone else here eating at CF on Aug 1?
I am!
You said it, brother. They want their hour in the spotlight.
Overblown headline. Schools across US (only four)!
[ Just don’t eat there.
But that wouldn’t be fascist enough. ]
They won’t be haqppy until “thought crime” is a capital offense, and when that happens they won’t last very long after the opposition gets into power and is able to use the tools they foolishly helped to setup.
Chick-Fil-A will be here years from how.
Most of those campi will not - given the education “baloon” coupled with the incredibly low IQ of the vast majority of our “students”.
Let’s see if the hypocritical little twerps follow up with this one.
Mohammed taught that homosexuals should be executed.
Do you really want to fund this agenda?
If not, help us kick the Mosques and Moslem groups off campus.
My guess is, “That’ll be the day.”
Students from 7 colleges.
Great-—How many students. 7 students in 7 different colleges, or thousands.
If this is what is happening to our young people does anyone question why Homo’s want their perversion taught to Kindergarten kids? Get em while they are young.
It works, Hitler did it.
Idiots is right.....as far as “useful”, you’re being too generous. They’re absolutely useless idiots.
Most of the Universities listed appear to be State (Read:TAXPAYER) funded schools. If these little brats do not want to eat at Chick-fil-A? Fine. Let them eat at the college cafeteria like the rest of us did and get the scoots like the rest of us did!
You better believe it. They are nothing if not persistent, militant, organized, and determined to silence and humiliate all dissenters, no matter how innocuous.
Took the words right out of my mouth...
“Do you really want to support this agenda?”
Yes!
