James Holmes, accused of killing a dozen people at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, wants to know how the film ended.
Did you see the movie? a creepy-sounding Holmes asked a stunned jail worker during a bizarre exchange Tuesday. How does it end?
Holmes, his eyes glazed and his voice flat, repeated the question when the worker ignored him, according to another jail employee who witnessed the incident in the infirmary.
Holmes, a 24-year-old ex-honor student, was trying to look like he was sincerely curious, the witness recounted to the Daily News.
Like he had no idea why there was anything wrong with what he was saying. It was sick ... I think hes trying real hard to act crazy.

I didn’t wait to see the end but, I heard it ended with your death.
Suspect?
Oh, I have no problem with selling the story. With benefits exclusively to all the victims and their families of cuss.
Yesterday Tamara Holder was on Hannity’s radio show. She referred to him as a “child.” Piece of work, she is.
Ok....tin foil hat time...
Suppose in his studies of “neuroscience”, that the government recruited him, and set up this whole scenario, in order to push their anti-gun BS?
Suppose they used some kind of mind control to get him to act out and go on the rampage he did? Since witnesses say he took a phone call and went out the side exit of the theater...maybe it triggered him into some kind of mode...whereby he could act out all he did. And, maybe that’s why he was waiting by his car when the police came, and why he gave up what was going on at his apt...maybe he snapped out of the trance and realized what happened?
I mean, who is to say, this guy wasn’t being mind controlled? Who is to say, he wasn’t called with a specific word to trigger him into action?
Hard to say...could be the guy is just a nut and has serious psychological problems. I mean, did they even check to see if/what drugs he may have been on? Watching him in the court room Monday, and you’d think he was either completely stoned, or his mind was seriously scrambled.
But the coincidence of the timing of his massacre and the push for the UN gun treaty....AND knowing this government IS corrupt and uses EVERY crisis (generated by them or not) for THEIR agenda...? And who the heck knows what lies the MSM is telling and/or what they aren’t telling behind all this?
Sometimes the line between conspiracy and truth, is really hard to see. Especially in today’s world....But I can’t help but think this guy is a patsy for someone...something. I also question if it was him in the theater, who took the phone call and got up and opened the exit door...wouldn’t someone remember the red hair?
Just giving drugs to a nut does not usually end up with the nut committing a massacre in a movie house. There would have to be more content than that to any instigator’s contact with the shooter to explain why the shooter’s violence took the form it did. If instigated. He could well have fried his own brain and thought of it himself, for all we know.
I think that’s an admirable suggestion. Let me explain why I don’t like the idea.
1. The perps get notoriety
2. It gives other idiots ideas
3. The grieving families have the despicable story out there being told in disgusting intimate full (HD Video) detail, replayed for decades on end - They would be reminded constantly of their loss every time the movie was advertised, people talked about it, or people knowing you had a relative killed there, would want to ask you how it all affected you (for the 10,993rd time).
4. People make a profit off the process
5. I couldn’t take one dime off something related to my relative’s death
6. No amount of money would be worth my loved one’s death
7. No amount of money would make their loss less painful
Take care...
Isn’t it funny that the MSM has no problem with arming Syrians?
“We know how his story will end. A 3 year trial process followed by endless appeals and perhaps 16 years before he is finally executed.”
Executed? No way. Reagan’s assassin is taking weekend visits outside.
This guy will be found mentally ill, never be executed, but hopefully never have freedom either.
(I concede a slight chance the whole crazy thing is faked, but I doubt it).
Funny, on of Commissioner Gordon’s lines from DKR. . .
“no uniform now, Blake- you’re a detective - you officially do not believe in coincidences anymore either”
No law that would pass the 1st amendment challenge would possibly be able to put a lid on it, so the only thing left is to make lemonade out of the lemon. This is hardly the only atrocity suffered by American victims that has had media produced about it. And it is S.O.P. to deny a convicted criminal (note the shooter hasn’t been convicted yet) the rights to profit off accounts of his or her crime.
Bane got the snot beat out of him. Crime rarely pays.

While I don’t believe the govt had any involvement in this particular case, I wouldn’t put it past them.
That is why our 6th Amendment rights are so important.
Even though this SOB is guilty and deserves to die, I was pleased to see an attorney by his side protecting his rights for the very reasons you point out.
Citizens must be given due process in the unlikely event that our wicked govt is trying to set them up.
Thanks for the response.
If my wife and children were shot dead, the last thing I would want to have happen, would be the creation of a movie that heralded the play by play for profit.
Let’s say the name of the movie was Batman. Every time a Batman movie came out, I’d would have to become a hermit or be reminded twenty times per day of my family being slaughtered.
No thanks...
I appreciate the First Amendment connectivity here. I don’t believe the fate of the nation hinges on whether mass murder can be exploited for profit.
There may very well be excellent arguments that the fate of the nation is impacted more than I know by such, so I expect there to be comments that disagree with mine.
I don’t know how the show ended but I know how HIS life SHOULD end!
And should be, to avoid saying anything that could be turned into grounds for an appeal.
I’m being mundanely realist here. It’s going to get bumped up to the USSC if anyone tries to put a legal lid on it. And we know from history what the USSC has always said. It’s one of the small set of things on which the liberal and conservative wings have virtually unanimously agreed on. So I can see no point at raising any legal howl at that particular moon. Surely the victims of the 9/11 bombings were in the same situation, yet nobody called for censoring videos about them and nobody is going around today interviewing them about the agony they experience every time someone says airplane or boxcutter.
That being said, I’d hope there would be a popular push for any such media to be respectful to those who perished or were badly wounded. That the market, not the law, would punish what was overly exploitative.
“We know how his story will end. A 3 year trial process followed by endless appeals and perhaps 16 years before he is finally executed.”
I read or heard that only 3% of insanity defenses are successful.
Those are reasoned comments, and I appreciate the discussion.
I’ll be those 09/11 families have been hounded far more than we know.
Possibly because so many murder defense cases try it. This truly does look like one of the nuttiest of the nut murders the nation has seen for many a moon. What sort of ordinary rage or malice would have led this shooter to do this? Your average dumb juror in their mushroom farm is going to be perplexed.
