James Holmes, accused of killing a dozen people at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises,” wants to know how the film ended.
“Did you see the movie?” a creepy-sounding Holmes asked a stunned jail worker during a bizarre exchange Tuesday. “How does it end?”
Holmes, his eyes glazed and his voice flat, repeated the question when the worker ignored him, according to another jail employee who witnessed the incident in the infirmary.
Holmes, a 24-year-old ex-honor student, “was trying to look like he was sincerely curious,” the witness recounted to the Daily News.
“Like he had no idea why there was anything wrong with what he was saying. It was sick ... I think he’s trying real hard to act crazy.”

We know how his story will end. A 3 year trial process followed by endless appeals and perhaps 16 years before he is finally executed.
If he DID NOT DO what he did in the first place, he would know how it ended.

This psycho is crazy but he is also putting on a lot of craziness to avoid the death penalty. This country is so stupid we refuse to try and execute crazy killers. We send them to a prison hospital where the shrinks can make millions off "treating" him. We only execute the non-crazy killers
Insanity defenses are a huge industry with at least a few hundred thousand leeches making a living off them

I wonder if he’d settle for learning how the pencil trick works. Because I’m sure one of the other guys in the jail would be glad to show him. Maybe not with an actual sharpened pencil, of course, but they can improvise.

The district attorney is hemming and hawing.
That’s even wackier.
It would have made “sense” (in his warped world) to know what was going to happen during the movie, because didn’t he mount the stage during one of the film’s chaotic firefights? What if the film had had none? Wouldn’t he have been disappointed?
Ah sure, you go to a Batman movie armed to the teeth and wait for just the right scene.

All day and much of the night he’s gonna hear “badda dadda dadda dadda badda dadda dadda dadda BAT-MAAAAAN!” (Most would know the old Batman theme if not a new one.)
When someone is caught red handed, as this perp was, justice should be swift. Witnesses should be called in one by one to identify him, and that being done, he should be stood up in front of a wall and shot until dead.
Any family members or members of the community who feel victimized by the rabid dog, should be allowed to participate.
No lengthy trial. No millions of dollars in government expenditures. No years worth of talk show or entertainment industry exploitation, or Leftist bleeding hearts... There wouldn’t be groups of people standing out-side jails and prisons pleading for him not to be mistreated. Prison guards wouldn’t have to dodge bags of defecation or urine, because there isn’t much they can do about that, when a guy is on death row.
And then there should be a ban on ever making any sort of money off the story. Anyone trying to do so would be sent to prison for five to ten.
These guys want attention. Give them none. Don’t even put the name out there. Call him “the perp”. Label every guy who does something like this, “the perp”. When you’ve got 25 “the perps” in 25 years, nobody will get the credit they think they so richly deserve. No movies will glorify them for all eternity. Give these guys nothing, but full anonymity for having done these terrible acts.
Shoot the guy. Cart his ass out to the middle of the desert. Strip him naked. And let nature take care of the rest. Guard the body for three to six months. When only bones and dirt are left, leave him there so the next person will know what’s coming for them.
And frankly, if someone wants to eliminate the part about shooting the guy, and just wants to skip ahead to staking him out in the desert, I’m willing to take it under advisement.
Having no objections, case closed.
