In an appearance on the Fox News Channels Hannity on Tuesday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity that the reason why she didnt endorse presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney during a Las Vegas speech this weekend was because she couldnt.
The Daily Caller had pointed out on Tuesday that former Palin did not even mention Romney in her speech. But, Palin told Hannity, that doesnt mean that the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee isnt supporting the former Massachusetts governor.
There was a reason I did not mention Gov. Romney in my speech at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation event and RightOnline over the weekend, and thats because I would have violated the ground rules for Americans for Prosperity Foundation. That you couldnt violate their I dont know if it is a 501(c)3 whatever the classification is of their organization.
No one mentioned Gov. Romney in their speeches nor endorsed anybody because that wasnt what the conference was about. My role in the conference as a matter of fact in the conference was to point out the hypocrisy, the double standards and weakness of the old media and how the new citizen journalist media can rise up and take the place of what the old media used to represent and that is telling the truth and the facts to voters.
Palin then went on to make it clear she was supporting Romney.
I have said from day one and Sean, I think you said the exact same thingL It has been anybody but Obama. We have a presumptive nominee in the GOP process after a good competitive and very spirited competition to find that presumptive nominee, Palin said. And, yes, if that vote were to be taken today obviously I would vote for for Gov. Romney over President Barack Obama in a heartbeat. I wouldnt blink because I go back to what I said at the beginning anybody but Obama.

Dems see Obama in all things.

That is part of it but there is a cadre of freepers for obama (some old, some new) who push their guy by trashing MR and, in a new and revealing twist, swearing that they could never vote for Rubio as VP.
If we keep electing more and more T.E.A. Party Conservatives in the House & Senate, and they have a Republican in the WH, that can only be a good thing.
What is so are hard to understand about that?
I also will be voting for many Republicans this November. But a few of us on this forum, including the owner/operator, find more than enough faults with the apparent Republican nominee and are constrained to vote for someone other than this (pre-selected) nominee.
And I really do not intend to annoy you by just disagreeing with you on this one point.

Yep, and Axelrod thanks you.
Can anyone name the GOP presidential nominee they supported in years past?
Anyone?
Gee, wouldn't that be like Hollywood holding an Oscars night and all the glitterati sparing us from their political prognostications?

"I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

Jim may want to change FreeRepublic.com to RomneySucks.com come January?
“Im concerned if we get 4 more years of Baraq well have any ability to recover, at least in my lifetime.”
If Barack is re-elected what you’ll get is Civil Disobedience in a number of major cities with huge crowds in the street like the 2009 DC protests against O’care.
If Romney wins you’ll get, and see?
Nuthin’ but more of the same.
Palin’s remembering that she Is going to have to deal with our RINO party bosses who have handed us this plate of Rotten Romney. If she turns on them openly she’s got no future at all in the party. Depending on how much RINO Koolaid she’s willing to drink, or not, I may still consider voting for her in 2016 or 2020, and That is what’s coming out of her mouth at the moment.
How is Mitt Romney pretending to be a conservative Republican REALLY being a conservative Republican?
Sorry, but unless she takes a senate seat mama-griz is done in DC.
“Small government conservatism is very badly needed, asap.” I almost died two years ago, I’m 71; and ASAP doesn’t have quite the same import, now. We have time, we as a movement. Reagan knew the word “movement.” His “movement” coined the word. ASAP can be translated as: “As soon as practicable.” Regards.
Okay. Thanks for your opinion. We disagree.
>> “Is Sarah a RINO?” <<
.
Sarah is a common sense Republican that knows that every snipe at whoever is our nominee is a vote for Communism and general poverty.
And you owe it to us to resign from FR so that we can have a true conservative site.
I'm going to write-in vote for Alen West as a protest!
That'll show 'em! The RNC & Romney!
After another 4 years of Obama, maybe, just maybe we'll get a Conservative nominee. ...if we still have a Republic.
I’ve gone on record stating I can’t vote for Obama or Romney in good conscience. I’ll vote on other matters, but I said earlier this year I wouldn’t back Romney come hell or high water, and I meant it.
In the spring of 2016, other Republicans can join me in voting for a Conservative nominee, or I’ll sit it out again.
I won’t vote for someone who is going to do more to destroy this nation. Those days are long gone.
As a supporter, I’ll worry about Sarah Palin endorsing Romney when she, you know, actually does it. To the best of my knowledge, that hasn’t happened yet, and it may never happen. And to be honest, I wouldn’t give up breathing while waiting for it if I were you. If she wanted to do it, or if she felt obligated on general principles to do it (and as a non-candidate she really has no more legal or moral obligation to than your average Freeper), she’d have done it by now. Oh, at some point between now and November, she might come on board, on her terms, if she thinks it’s in her interest to. Actually, at this point, after the last four years, that’s the only reason left I can think of that she would. She needs to look out for her own interests, because it’s pretty clear that nobody else outside her family and personal friends is, certainly not her rivals.
