Next Obama and Holder will try to offer up a scapegoat for destruction. When I went for more coffee at 4:00, they were unanimously trumpeting the Administration line that this was merely political theater, designed to embarrass Obama for the upcoming election.
In addition to revealing the CNN on-air staff as political sock puppets, it also revealed much of their overall cluelessness. They didn't even know this situation was coming to a boil.
People on the right have been following these developments and machinations for many months, but for the CNN experts, this came out of left field, and caught them without their talking points for a few hours.

I suspect some of these documents would reveal 0bama and Holder openly speaking of using Project Gunrunner to create the narrative they needed to push more gun control.
My thoughts exactly! If it really is all just political theater, then releasing the requested documents will only prove that, right? Hiding them by Executive Privilege only causes everyone to start questioning what they are hiding.
In all likelihood yes, at least as far as the SCOTUS is concerned. It's highly unlikely they will see this case before them until after the election.

I don’t understand how the WH was going to exploit the murder statistics of people that they’re partly responsible for murdering.
Their responsibility wasn't supposed to become public. From what I understand, an associate of the murdered border patrol agent blew the whistle on the source of the guns.
Oh, and the murders were supposed to be an argument against gun ownership? I guess I’m not seeing the bigger picture or the strategy of the WH. I understand what they did wrong but not the reason why. I just assumed that they were letting the gangs run wild to further entrench themselves into American neighborhoods thru the drug trade, further compromising American sovereignty. I suppose it could further both objectives.
Meanwhile, anyone with a memory of the Watergate saga is having an extreme case of deja vu.
