This sucks! RIP, Donna...
I hated Disco.
But I could stand Donna Summers. Prayers for her family and friends
R.I.P. enjoyed her music.
Thanks...came down as “news.alert” on local news.
Why that sure is a coincidence when Donna Summer and Donna Summers both die on the very same day.
Never heard of Donna Summers.
Guess it is because she was a DISCO singer.
I never listened to "Disco".
Always sad to hear about "anyone" dying
-but-
When DISCO Died,- who cared?
“On the Radio”
Rest in peace
RIP to a talented woman who certainly worked hard for her money.
I believe her father was an African Methodist Episcopal preacher. She claimed to be a Christian. I hope she truly was and is with Christ in heaven right now.
But I could stand Donna Summers. Prayers for her family and friends
She and the Bee Gees could pull a little art out of the genre.
RIP
Unfortunately, I’ll never forget her rendition of “MacArthur Park.” I enjoyed the original Richard Harris version, but after hearing Donna Summers’ disco version nearly every hour as I drove from Chicago to Tucson in September 1978, I grew to detest it. Also from that drive is “I never promised you a rose garden,” which I also grew to loathe. This is like hearing Louie Louie played night after night by one of the guys in the dorm during my freshman year at college in 1965.
She was a talented singer and I enjoy other recordings she made.
Post of the day!
Damn.. sad to hear... RIP..
I knew her brother-in-law in New York in the late 1970s. Never met her, though.
She was great. RIP
She worked hard for her money so you better treat her right.............
Same here, I spent a lot of time in the mobile disco scene and it was nightmarish, but she was bearable.
How sad :(
I hope her ‘Last Dance’ is the best!
I just heard “On the Radio” last week! RIP, Donna.
