...After Supporter Says President Should be tried for treason
The Obama campaign slammed Mitt Romney Monday for not confronting a supporter who said during a town hall event in Cleveland that the president should be tried for treason.
We have a president right now that is operating outside the structure of our Constitution, a woman said during a question-and-answer session. And I want to know yeah, I do agree he should be tried for treason but I want to know what you would be able to do to restore balance between the three branches of government and what you are going to be able to do to restore our Constitution in this country.
Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, ignored the treason comment and answered her question.
Well, as Im sure you do, I happen to believe the Constitution was not just brilliant but probably inspired, he said. I happen to believe the same thing about the Declaration of Independence. I would respect the different branches of government if I am fortunate enough to become president.
SNIP
Time after time in this campaign, Mitt Romney has had the opportunity to show that he has the fortitude to stand up to hateful and over-the-line rhetoric and time after time, he has failed to do so, campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith said in a statement. If this is the leadership he has shown on the campaign trail, what can the American people expect of him as commander-in-chief?
Romney repeated his position shortly after the event during an interview on CNN but rejected the notion that he had a responsibility to take on the audience member.
I dont correct all of the questions that get asked of me. Romney said.

Another straw man from the Marxist camp. It’s the failure, stupid.
Juan Pablo McCain bent over backwards to defend Obama and look how well that turned out for him.
Of course we know Mitt will be on the TV circuit all week decrying the “outrageous” Comments.
I am so sick of the feigned outrage that has taken over politics. Am I supposed to be “outraged?” Lol
This is such a successful Alinsky tactic for the Dems. Force your opponent to react to random third-party statements, and never be satisfied with the answer.
It puts your opponent always reacting, always on the defensive, and against Republicans, they fall into it.
Our enemy sets the playing field and the language and the GOP candidates go right along!
Also, if the Boston Globe wanted to do some real journalism they would dig up the Kenyan’s transcript and admissions data.
Romney doesn’t condemn a question, while Obama supports rapists, murderers and terrorists with words, money and arms? The woman was right, and so was Romney in not responding. It’s a losing position, even if it is true.
The dog that yelps is the one that got hit.
> Is that supposed to be contoversial statement, in some way?
Yeah, the word "President" is incorrect -- because it shouldn't apply to Obummer.
Did Obama ever finger wag at supporters over their incendiary comments about Bush/Cheney ?
I think Romney should have agreed with the supporter. :)
Just sayin’......
"In a private conversation about the planned U.S.-led NATO missile defense system in Europe, President Barack Obama asked outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for space on the issue.
This is my last election, Obama told Medvedev. After my election I have more flexibility.
I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir, Medvedev said, referring to incoming President Vladimir Putin."

Obama was talking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when neither of them realized that their conversation was being picked up by microphones. Here is what they said:
Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but its important for him to give me space.
Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ...
Obama: This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.
Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.
This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility. That statement tells us much about the presidents mindset.
The specific mention of missile defense is worrisome enough. Mr. Obama has retreated from the missile defense plan that was negotiated with European allies during the George W. Bush administration. Apparently, he is signaling Moscow that he intends to retreat further. The clear implication from the presidents comments is that he cannot tell the American people before the election what he plans to do after the election.
In addition, there is the phrase on all these issues, implying more is at stake than just missile defense.

When it comes to keeping America safe, we shouldnt be too flexible:

Here is the 'thank you' letter Barack Obama sent to Shepard Fairey:
"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign. I am privileged to be a part of your artwork and proud to have your support. I wish you continued success and creativity.
Sincerely, Barack Obama.'"

Good.
FFFUUUBBBOOO!!!!
The Obama campaign is racist. The woman who asked that question is black.
I am relieved as hell when Romney didn’t say a word, because I remember how that douchebag McCain scolded one woman for calling Obama an “Arab”, and another for saying Obama “frightened” her, insanely counseling that “he is a GOOD MAN” and she would have nothing to worry about. Really? How does he feel about that statement NOW?
Well, if Romney had just flipped the bird, while acting like he’s scratching his nose as obama did in 2008, then muttered “PIE!”, the media would fall in love with him, right?
Obama set the standard and said he is not responsible for what supporters say, so Romney should remind the press that is what Obama said when James Hoffa said he was going to take the Tea Party out.
Well You are right.Romney, Congress, & both parties are run by the political elites and no matter who we elect they will be bought or extorted into the gang.
No matter what Obama did he will be on the speech giving trail earning millions when he is gone.
I reckon the truth hurts. I see no reason for Romney to call down someone who a large part of the country agrees with.
Yeah, BO and the Mooch will earn a few million, but they will spend it like rappers and professional sports stars and end up broke in no time. The Mooch has to have her bling and lobster, expensive vodka and caviar.
