I quit posting on campaign threads once I noticed that even people I chat with here were at each others’ throats.
Jim the convention is not until the last week in August. I have still not voted in the primary and neither have you. Anything could happen between now and the end of August and I am not going to sit by and surrender while there is still a snowball's chance in Hell that ANYBODY BUT ROMNEY might still get the nomination. There could be a scandal or Romney could decide not to run or he might pick some left wing liberal as a running mate.
I am not going to give in to any truce until there is no fight left in me. By his own admission the only tie Romney has to the Republican Party is that both Republican and Romney begin with an "R". We need to realize that if Romney gets the nomination and wins, then the first opportunity we will have to actually get a conservative president (one who will pick conservative constitutional judges and actually live by the constitution) will be in 2020.
Sorry Jim, but you and I part company on this one. I will continue the good fight. I WILL NOT SURRENDER!

Truce or not, I still refuse to vote for Romney. Period.
I will vote for Romney in the distant hope he is the lesser of two evils. Your editorial is spot on. A house divided against itself cannot stand and we must continue in every way possible vote to for and support true conservative candidates.
I respect your position to not vote for Romney. We CAN still be heard and be a force that helps turn our country around. It may take longer than we want. But this is a war as well, and we need to be in it for the long haul.

Yep. What you described is where I have been for a while. I always expected Romney to get the nominee but did not expect to happen the way it did. If conservatives continue to split the vote and can’t even unify around a Santorum or a Gingrich or get a strong enough candidate that forces such a unification then frankly we don’t deserve the Presidency. So we don’t give up - we regroup and recruit better stronger candidates and replace RINOs with conservatives in Congress. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Thank You, Jim. There are honest and true conservatives that detest Obama and the socialists so much, that they will put aside ideological differences with the GOPe and Romney (now that there are no true conservatives to support in the Presidential election) just to see Obama defeated.
Your thoughtful expressions will go along way in getting that unity back that has been lost these past grueling 12 months. The RATs would like nothing more than to see us divided and at each other’s throats.

If they want to see what Romney is all about, may I suggest they take a look at Mike Bloomberg, Despot, I mean Mayor of New York city and the absolute hell the people who live there (like unfortunately me) are currently going through. He and Romney could be brothers. It's incredible to me how similar Romneys campaign is to the one Bloomberg ran in 2001.

He completely trashes the Constitution, trashes individual rights, property rights, free speech, even incredibly enough - people who want to help others!! Yes you heard that right, he recently confiscated food donated to the homeless because Nutrition expert Dr. Mike Bloomberg did not deem it nutritious first! That is 1000% pure unadulterated DESPOTISM!! Let the homeless starve so the Despot can show his power!
