Do they have a photo of the car in the intersection with the driver visible?
Is the ticket applicable to the driver, or the vehicle?
If they have a photo of the perp, you're probably out of luck.
If the ticket is to the vehicle, same.
If you pay a lawyer, you can probably beat it.
As long a judges and lawyers are making money, everybody is happy.

Good luck. In most places people haven’t succeeded in fighting them. If the law in your jurisdiction requires the city to prove who the driver is, then you may be successful in showing that they haven’t done that.
On the other hand, in many jurisdictions a red-light-camera ticket doesn’t get reported against the driver/registered owner precisely because of that reason, so there are no points, increased insurance rates, etc. associated with the ticket (I suppose an insurance company could ask about red light tickets on the license plate).

Explain to her calmly but firmly that “We don’t run Red Lights Dear”.
We don’t need an emotional scene.

Make them drag the camera in to testify since it is the ticketing officer..
We got them outlawed in MN (unconstitutional)..
If she ran it, shes gonna hafta pay it.
You could get the ACLU in on the deal. I think they are the ones that got them removed in Minnesota.

If the vid shows she ran the light, pay it. If not, schedule a court appearance and present the video. If you are in the right, they are easy to get thrown out because the incident is recorded.

She should pay it and not run red lights again. It’s a good lesson without the really painful and potentially fatal results that can come from running red lights.

My wife received a ticket for making a "rolling stop" on a right-turn-on-red. They sent along a copy of the video ...
...I still tease her about making a "Tina-stop" ...

‘beat it’ with cash... or check/money order in an envelop
if you live in a small town, a better question would be who wanted a red-light cam in the town?

I thought those Red Light Tickets were CIVIL not CRIMINAL concerns.
If there is nothing the State can do to you, ignore it.

My understanding is that if you don't pay it, the courts can't prove who was driving and won't come after you.
That may vary from state to state.
Search on "courts cannot enforce red light camera tickets" and you'll find links to many stories regarding same.

If one of these sort of tickets ever shows up in my mail box, I’ll be inclined to treat it as the junk mail that is is (especially one for speeding - I do have a little more respect for red lights).

I would make sure that the yellow-light duration of that traffic light meets state engineering guidelines.
