EXCELLENT! God save us from entitlement-addicts like this slimy specimen. He has considered himself “entitled” to this office for forty years. (I used to live in Utah...)

Most likely Hatch like many other modern congressmen & senators will die or resign before they lose reelection. The power incumbents have bought for themselves is just too strong to be serouly challenged at the ballot box.

when Washington acquired the ability & inclination to spend tax payer dollars domestically effectly on their own voter base they acquire a dominate position over any potential challenger. They quite frankly acquired the power to tax their challenger and feed their friends.

This is why after the so called “New Deal” in the 1930’s reelection rates(IE: incumbency) rose from 50% to where it is now 90%. What we have is the predictable result a form of tyranny of the majority that has transformed itself into a kind of political oligarchy the next step was/is to throw away the chains as they have done quite effectively with their hand picked Federal “justices”.

Hatch is still in the Senate? Dang, thirty-six years of doing nothing.

Didn’t our patriot friends in Utah do this to the other guy in 2010? Nice :-)

He got 59% of the vote...do you think he will loose?

When is the primary in Utah?

I would rather have Hatch then a Democrat!

Orrin Hatch nearly avoided a primary. Given that he got nearly 60% of the delegates, he’s the favorite to win right now. But remember, Richard Lugar of Indiana was the favorite to win early on and now it could go either way.

Utah conservatives need to mobilize. Hatch did good things in the past, but he’s become part of the problem and it’s time for someone else. Dan Liljenquist seems like he’d be a good Senator.

As I said before, Senators Hatch and Cornyn have a good fiscal plan, and Hatch’s experience would give it a better chance to be passed rather than a newbee.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons Mark Levin supports Hatch, as Hatch gets things accomplished, and Levin is pragmatic.

Good news in Utah, Orrin Hatch wasn’t able to avoid a primary. He’s still favored. Dan Liljenquist desperately needs the conservative grass roots to come through for him.

I often wonder the same thing. One piece of information is that at one time the “Prophet” assigned certain people to be Dems and certain people to be Repubs. The story I have heard is that he literally split a room and instructed what political party people were going to support. Sounds crazy.
