“Teaching as a Subversive Activity”: The Theory of Political Indoctrination (Brainwashing 101)

Last weekend I visited the U.C. Berkeley campus and on a whim attended a lecture with the provocative title “Teaching as a Subversive Activity — Revisited.”

Because this was a presentation aimed at education insiders only, the lecturer, retired professor H. Douglas Brown from S.F. State, seemed perfectly willing to let the cat out of the bag about political indoctrination on college campuses. Fortunately, I had my trusty camera with me, so I was able not only to snap a few pictures but also record several key portions of his speech, which I found so eye-opening that I felt the general public deserved to hear it as well.

Part of the college curriculum.

Neil Postman. 1970s-80s.

Others, like Studs Terkel, long prior to that.

Sice we have a communist running the country now, we need not worry about teaching communism covertly now. Just him em between the eyes with overt communism.

What is so different from our teaching system and that practiced under communist rule?

Teaching in our public school has become more indoctrination than the dispersion of knowledge. Look at all the politicians who are in charge of our school system?

Here is the antidote to this article: The Meaning of Education, written in 1931. Already, at that time, American education was deteriorating under the influence of the Progressives such as the execrable Dewey.

The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.

The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is better understood as the “government school collective”.

It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is communist.

Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.

Nobody loves your children more than you do.

Nobody can teach your children like you can.

Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.

It is hypocritical for you to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. And your children will know it.

If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.

DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!

Especially not with your own children.

And DO NOT TAKE GOVERNMENT “EDUCATION” MONEY!

He that pays the piper calls the tune, and that goes DOUBLE for any government “education” program.

“The Meaning of Education”

Great resource. Wish I’d had it a few weeks ago when some commie was trying to make a case for Freire.
