WASHINGTON (AP) The parents of Trayvon Martin say charges against George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting their son would start the healing process, but they won't stop fighting until he's convicted.
Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, tells The Associated Press that right now she and Martin's father "can't get past our son being murdered and no one being arrested."

Your son was not “murdered”.
He was killed by the man he was trying to kill.
Big difference.

Arrest, hell. “Justice” means a conviction for murder. Period.

I think they’ll feel a lot better after a conviction and forfeiture of freedom. If it were my child nothing short of that would suffice.

This will be drawn-out process.
State trial, probably with an acquittal, followed by a federal trial.
Composition of the jury will be most important factor in both trials. Facts presented to the courts, not so much.

I having nothing but sympathy for this “grieving” mother, but what is she going to do if she finds out he was shot in self defense for attacking Mr. Zimmerman and not, “murdered?”

The DA resisted the urge to arrest Zimmerman because that starts a 175 day clock to bring the case to trial. If you don't have a case, you certainly don't want to start the clock. Do it...and run the clock down. Have Zimmerman object to being denied a speedy trial. Where's the popcorn?

If I understand correctly, now the her lawyers can sue Zimmerman in civil court?
Does Zimmerman have anything worth taking? I suspect his parents do, but would they be liable for what their son did?

Fine. Someone arrest them. Maybe for not looking for their kid for two or three days after he didn’t show up.
