Elderly couple abandons their home after address is posted on Twitter as that of George Zimmerman read the headline of an article yesterday in the Orlando Sentinel. Spike Lees twitter account went into Radio Silence yesterday morning after it was revealed he mistakenly tweeted to over 247,000 twitter followers the address of an elderly Florida couple instead of George Zimmermans address, the man who shot Trayvon Martin. Mr. Lees tweet resulted in hate mail, strangers dropping by, and other disturbances that panicked the couple who then fled from their home for fear of their lives. It remains to be seen if Spike Lee will contact the couple to assist them financially with the costs associated with their having to abandon their home or at minimum publicly apologize to them for his putting their lives in danger.
The Hollywood Reporter was reporting last night that the Elderly Couple at Address Spike Lee Tweeted Are Living in Fear as some of Lees twitter followers tweeted, Lets turn up the heat on his bitch ass!!! and Get this mutha f#####!! as the followers retweeted the elderly couples address after being misled by Spike Lee.
As some criticized George Zimmerman for going into hiding, Spike Lee apparently took a similar cowardly route. A call placed to Lee's office in New York was answered by a man who said the film director was unavailable for comment. Unbelievable!
Perhaps Spike Lee should rethink his silence and follow the title of his academy award nominated film and Do the Right Thing and stop inciting racial tensions that could result in potential violence to innocent individuals.
Mr. Lee we, and these old folks in Florida, await your apology.

Seems to me, if I recall, that people staying home instead of voting for McCain was what helped put Barack Hussein Obama (mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm) in the White House in the first place. So these same people want a reprise because Romney looks like our nominee? He’s not my first choice, either. He wasn’t even my second, third, or fourth choice. But make no mistake, if Romney is the Republican nominee, I *WILL* vote for him over Barack Obama. I would vote for my cat over Barack Obama. I would even vote for the Diet Coke I’m drinking over Barack Obama. A lot of folks were of the mind that if we punish the Republicans and put Democrats in office, they will see how disastrous it is having Democrats in charge and put them out. How has that worked out for us, considering all of the fires we’re having to try to put out now at the hands of the pyromaniacs in the mis-Administration and the Senate — and also in the House, up until January 2011? I can’t imagine the horror of four more years of this.

There will be future elections.
But there will be only one candidate on the ballot.

"But so many are blinded by their rage, and hate for Romney, that they cant see the long view."
And the long view is important because if BHO succeeds in getting a second term, this country is toast, because if he is openly defying the will of the American people now, you can imagine how he will be if he wins a second term. Everything that occurs in the second term will be implemented be at flank speed and nothing short of armed rebellion will stop it.
If we manage to get a conservative in the office, we are fine. However, if we do not have a viable candidate and have no choice but Romney, I'd would rather have him in the office instead of BHO. The lesser of two evils principle truly applies in this situation.
Many FReepers will stand resolutely with their fist clenched in the air and boldly proclaim, "I shall never betray my principles and vote for a RINO!" while imagining themselves as some present day Patrick Henry. Well, good on you but not voting AGAINST BHO is by default voting FOR him. I'd rather betray my principles than betray my country any day.
If it means that we have to put up with Romney for four years just to prevent BHO from further destroying this republic, then so be it. Those four years will give us a breather while we (a) maintain damage control and (b) search for a conservative candidate for 2016. Romney would just be keeping the chair warm during that time in my opinion.
You have to pick the battles you fight if you want to win the war. Remember that in their writings our Founding Fathers abhored slavery but they allowed it to exist in the newly formed country. In other words, they betrayed their principles on the issue of slavery.
They didn't want to deal with the issue of slavery at that point, so they pretty much kicked the can down the road for a future generation to deal with. If left only with Romney as a candidate this time around, he is our can to kick.
The problem we have to face and address right now is that if BHO gets a second term there will be no can to kick down the road because future generations will be living under the boot of socialism.

He should be arrested for that. What would have happened if his ‘tweet buddies’ would have burned that house down or something stupid. Lee is an idiot.
