Bill Maher spoke with ABC’s Jake Tapper about whether there was a double standard for liberals using offensive language towards conservative women. In the interview, the HBO host responded to the criticism over his obscene remarks about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and defended calling her the c-word.
Tapper asked Maher, in the wake of the controversy over Rush Limbaugh‘s comments about Sandra Fluke, whether there was a double standard, with the media accepting offensive language when it is used by liberals against conservative women. “Is that a fair comparison? You have certainly used offensive words to describe some politicians you don’t like.”
“I’m a comedian, not just a guy who says he is, like Rush, but someone who -– well, you saw me do stand-up last year in D.C. There’s a big difference between just saying you’re a comedian and going out and getting thousands of people to laugh hard for 90 minutes,” Maher argued.

Limbaugh attacked an activist leader testifying before Congress. She is fair game. This is not like Don Imus cracking on the female basketball players.
No, she did not. The DNC tried to get Fluke to testify before Congress (in place of someone they had already vetted, but who backed out) and CONGRESS said NO.
So... the MEDIA had a PRESS CONFERENCE and most of the public was fooled into believing FLUKE testified in front of Congress, when actually all she did is make a speech during a WAG THE DOG press conference.

Rush and Maher are both entertainers/media personalities and Sarah and Sandra are both female public figures. There is absolutely no difference other than one set being Conservative and the other being Liberal.
As a native Mississippian,, I actually appreciate Maher’s oh-so-witty caricature of my state. If viewing this video convinces even one liberal fleeing their doomed democratic run state NOT to consider moving here, he will have been an unintended blessing. Mr Maher, Bless Your Heart!
