Doctor Claims Everything You've Heard About Cholesterol and Heart Disease is Wrong

RUSH: Now, this health story. The website's called Signs of the Times, and the story here is by Dr. Dwight Lundell. "Heart Surgeon Speaks Out On What Really Causes Heart Disease." The upshot of it is that everything that we think we're doing to promote cardiovascular health is actually contributing to cardiovascular problems. This story prints out six pages. The doctor wrote it. So many times I have mentioned over the years about diet, health, food, how we are being manipulated by government goals, wrong medical ideas. Food activists with a logo and a fax machine putting out bogus information to the media, and they just run with it. As long as it contains "government has to step in to save us," then they'll be happy to promote whatever the lying data is.

So what we have here is a heart surgeon who is saying that he and his profession have been wrong for decades. This experiment with statins and low-fat diets has not worked. He says it's time to move on to another way. I'll give you some pull quotes before getting to the story. "Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before."

Another pull quote. "I saw it in over 5,000 surgical patients spanning 25 years who all shared one common denominator -- inflammation in their arteries." Not blockage, inflammation.

Thanks for the reply- I have decided to begin with 325 mg., then possibly go to 81 after a few days, maybe two baby aspirins (162).

"Your cutting board is the dirtiest place in your house so clean it with bleach. I don’t clean it with bleach anymore, I clean it with hydrogen peroxide. It doesn’t smell and you can see the germs die. Great feeling."

If your cutting board is wood, no disinfection is needed. Wood itself is a natural bacteria killer. Plastic or other materials OTOH probably "do" need disinfection. But soap and water is more than enough....it lyses (breaks down) the cell wall structure of the bacteria, and "they die". Adding bactericides to soap is like painting a lily and actually increases the incidence of resistant organisms.

Does anyone know of any real benefits of coconut oil. I am starting to hear that as a supplement it can be good to ward off alzheimers/dementia, aid in heart health and other “miracles.” Fact or fiction?

Uh . . I fergit.
I like to cook French Toast or pancakes in cocoanut oil, though. It’s expensive, but a little pot of cocoanut oil will last six months or more.

Coconut isn’t good for browning some things because it doesn’t do well at high temps.

I would say to get a bag of Elephant Hathi and bake some bread; you’ll never go back to the library paste again.

Dr. Hyman and Dr. Witacker have been curing type II diabetes for a couple of years now by getting people off of polyunsaturates. They rarely have a failure, and they have helped thousands of patients.

Type II was rare before WW II, and now its reaching 25% 0f the population. That corelates well with use of those oils. Heart disease seems to be fitting in there too.

You should be hot draining all deep fried foods anyway.

I did that, in a 200 degree oven on a rack for 30 minutes after leaving the deep fry. Still got the congealed Crisco puddles. Lard would do something similar. Oils are still useful. Olive would work in principle according to smoke point tables, but my heavens the expense.

Again, I would want to see if the actual factor is a placebo, that of attention to the diet. The more you know about your food, the more you will respect your food and not overdo it.

I like to cut on ceramic plates (Corning Corelle). All plates go through the dishwasher and nothing sits out to be nosed into by curious cats etc.

So I was right for going on a bacon diet?

Bacon and red wine, and, not necessarily in that order.

That is total nonsense!

Humans have been here for about 5800 years, more or less, and have used grains to make bread for most if not all of them.

The differences are 1- bleached flour rather than whole grain, and 2- eating far more bread per meal than originally.

As for oils, olive, flax, and sesame were the rule for all but the last 80-100 years. (except for tropical areas where coconut and copra oils are used)

I have Lyme Disease. The doctor told me that the inflammation from the disease could hurt my heart. He said inflammation was number one indicator for heart disease.

He order a test for inflammation in the body. It’s a blood test. I had a high level of inflammation, so I started on
ZYFLAMEND— a herbal softgel to promote a healthy inflammation response in the body.

6 monthe later, I was retested with the blood test, and inflammation was at low level.

The people that over do it are not the ones that end up type II diabetics. It is slightly more common in vegetarians than normal eaters, and particularly uncommon in heavy meat eaters. Cutting out sugar and starches will help but won’t do the trick alone; you have to eliminate all polyunsaturates and man made fats.
