In this video, not previously available online but licensed by BuzzFeed from a Boston television station, the future president speaks at a 1991 campus protest organized to demand tenure for minority and female law professors.
It was perhaps Barack Obama's most intense immersion in the charged campus racial politics of the late 1980s and early 1990s: As President of the Harvard Law Review in the spring of his final year there, 1991, he aligned himself with Professor Derrick Bell's dramatic protest for diversity on the faculty of Harvard Law School.
Bell was the first black tenured professor at the school, and a pioneer of "critical race theory," which insisted, controversially, on reading issues of race and power into legal scholarship. His protest that spring was occasioned by Harvard's denial of tenure to a black woman professor, Regina Austin, at a time when only three of the law school's professors were black and only five women. He told Harvard he would take a leave of absence a kind of academic strike "until a woman of color is offered and accepted a tenured position on this faculty," and he launched a hunger strike to dramatize his point.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Interesting that Obama had then the exact same affected and contrived speaking style that he uses now.
I`m shocked, SHOCKED that Barry Hussein was/is a pro-racist affirmative action quota kook
“Diversity”: Sorry, we refuse to hire any geniuses if their skin is white - we’re only hiring morons because their skin is black.
Makes a twenty-first century kinda sense.
Hmmmm. I just ran across this vid and wonder if it’s true? Anyone seen this?

My guess is that this is an attempt by the Obama campaign to get out in front of the Breitbart tapes from his college days, so then they can call it “old news”.
death by diversity..forget merit.
Very interesting. Thanks for that. I love this stuff. :)
any time I hear the code word of diversity I straight away call them out.
Heard one college girl saying that she likes the local school here in town but wished it were more diverse.
I asked what she meant and she replied that she wished it had more blacks, maybe some muslims etc.
I told her I had never noticed as I only look at people as people and not by their race, religion etc.
She blushed and shut up.
It works every time we these idiots.
Really I had not noticed who was any color to me I only look at the person and ones color does not come into my mind..
Of course I do notice a muslim here in town as we might see lone about one in 5 years on a visit
I saw that this morning. Not sure if it’s true, hell of a tape if it is.
I take it this is a preemptive strike to counter what Bretbart had? Are they trying to paint him as a civil rights activist rather than the radical commie we’re going to be introduced to?
That’s what I’m wondering as well.
Maybe. Anything is possible. It is hard to see that this would change much if they show a vid with him professing his love for communism.
Note the awkward, stiff, almost embarrassing gesture of repeatedly stuffing his hand into his pocket, then immediately withdrawing it to gesticulate meaninglessly with it... as though he both craved and feared the spotlight. Like he needed, viscerally needed the implied approval of the podium, but was terrified up there.
His manufactured loathing for America is an outgrowth of that which came first, his self-loathing, which is what makes him so awkward when un-scripted. He eventually subsumed his self-hatred, to the extreme of absolute narcicism, but transferred that venom to his target of choice, his adopted home: America.
What a thoroughly contrived piece of fecal twist.
Nothing from Columbia has shown up yet, weird hey
ARF
Self-ping for later.
That was how he got elected President.
Is this how Anita Hill secures a professorial position? Must have been a similar dust-up.
my thoughts too.
Who does diversity and affirmative action help?
Well diversity should be left up to those who want to live in areas with different cultures and should nto be forced onto anyone.
As for affirmative action, well it only helps those who are not qualified for a position or job or school.
The program is racist, bigoted and hurts many people when you have people who should not be in the position or job in the first place, perfect example is the firemen , police and military, like Manning
