I have an active Carbonite Account. But it doesn’t expire until January. If I cancel now, will they refund the prorated amount for my subscription?

The only disadvantage of having a local hard drive backup is if your house/business burns down both your ‘puter and your backup HD are lost.

It’s here in central Kentucky. It’s called Farm Bureau. They were highly recommended by everyone we talked to, and after living here five months, we checked them out. When they gave us a quote, we thought there was a mistake.

There wasn’t. :)

We even got 20% off our homeowners insurance when we went with them. BOTH together are now several hundred below what Allstate on our cars alone was. And we are in a rural area with no fire hydrants within miles.

Do you realize that “Cloud” is just a marketing term for internet...

At first things were called Internet Sites. Then when those sites started to allow users to post things and retrieve things they started calling them Internet Applications... Once those same internet sites started serving non-browser based services (still via HTTP) they want to market themselves as “Cloud Computing”

Cloud = Internet... no difference, no new technologies or specifications.

—...but the short term trend is all about Rush?—

I think it is. If you look at just the last 24 hours, they are taking a nose dive. It started in afternoon trading yesterday.

The market is down but frankly I think carbonite was BS.

Maybe not intentional, but I like the prophetic inflection in the way you use "was."

Yes, it *was* BS. Simply because cheaper more secure and more user-friendly solutions are all over the place.

Thing is, nobody was talking about cheaper and better solutions until the CEO decided to take a giant s*** on the heads of his customer base.

As an aside, CARB has lost another 4% since this thread went up. Now nearly 8% in one day.

Definately more at work here than today's overall market trend.

I have Erie Insurance. Love them! I’ve been with them close to a decade. $750 for two cars.

Nope. I just renewed last month. They initially told me I was within the cancelation period, but then said, after reviewing my account, I am not eligible for a refund. I don’t intend to give them $59.00, so I told them I expect them to provide the service while I check out potential replacements when my subscription expires. I will probably have something else up and running in a couple months and will let them hold my old files.

Thank you for posting this list because I think it’s very important that we call and let our voices be heard.

So why is Clear Channel off today too?

Nearly all positions are down today.

However, very few positions are at their 52 week low. More importantly, very few postions have fallen as precipitously CARB (nearly 10% now).

As far as ProFlowers is concerned everyone should go to their site and load up a shopping cart with thousand$ of dollar$ worth of flowers, click to complete the sale and fill in ‘RUSH LISTENER’ as first name & last name. When it wants you to put in credit card info, abandon the cart.

If thousands do it from coast to coast, it will tie up their website with zero sales. When they analyze the abandoned carts they will find out that RUSH fans affect their sales more than sluts who refuse to pay for their own birth control.
