For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
“Rush sold his soul for money. He was losing sponsors left and right Hes a moral coward and Ill never listen to him again. I truly hope he just fades away- quickly.”

Well Mr. jimboster, I guess come next Monday morning at 12:00 Noon eastern time you won’t be listening to Rush but will instead be one of “gentlemen in England now-a-bed”?
That’s your prerogative but, as for me, I’m sticking with Rush and have no plans to turn on my fellow conservatives. And if I ever start feeling so inclined to do so, I’ll be the first one to kick my own ass and self-correct. Have a nice relaxing time “a-bed” Dude.
Shakespeare’s Saint Crispen’s Day Speech:
WESTMORELAND. O that we now had here
But one ten thousand of those men in England
That do no work to-day!
KING. What’s he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;
If we are mark’d to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call’d the feast of Crispian.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam’d,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian.’
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispian’s day.’
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he’ll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb’red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.
Rush is 60 years old, has a lovely new bride, enough money to never have to work another day in his life. He doesn’t put all his time and effort into his show because he needs the gig, he does it because he cares passionately about what he does. NOBODY bats 1,000 - he speaks off the cuff, 3 hours a day, 5-days a week. Occasionally you’re going to say something you probably would have written differently given the luxury of time and editing, but he took this as far as he could as long as he could before just having to cut his losses and let it pass. More than the corporate advertisers, I think his move was spurred more by the fact that this has become too much of a lightning rod distraction leading up to this do-or-die winner takes all election.
So where is "apology" in their play book?
Yup.
RUSH stepped in big time.
He really helped the liberals create a new martyr and future US Senator.
Here's the analogy to the RUSH cave. Still sounds just as stupid.
I also had the in vitro experience. My first wife gave birth to twins via in vitro.
I don’t have enough medical knowledge about this to form an opinion on it.
Cheers, ‘Pod.
What ever. How many of us had Rush's back supporting him against the onslaught attacking the advertisers?
Works both ways you know. In that department the left has us sorely beat.
We should be on the phone to his advertisers countering the left but we're all too busy.
Kit Cat, can you please cool it with the caps and the exclamation points? You don’t need to scream in our faces.
I’ve made apologies in my lifetime - as a general proposition, they didn’t require my soul as collateral.
Rush’s got a 20+ year record of taking excrement from the left and whipping it back at them. He decided to cut his losses on this one. So maybe from now on he’ll be a jelly-spined sycophant of the RINO variety. Or maybe not. I’m willing to find out, and I’m not too worried about his soul. I doubt he is either.
I’ll go further than that.
I don’t believe there “is” a friend with this problem.
The Church does not oppose the use of the pill to treat this medical issue, or other medical issues such as endometriosis.
I am sure Ms. Fluke knows this.
She is relying on ignorance to throw out the wrong impression to the public.
Nope....I’m willing to be money such a “friend” of hers is nonexistant.
I don’t give a flying fluke if Rush apologized or not. The chick is who she is and she is a glaring example of everything that is wrong in this country! I knew the moment I heard Rush make those comments that the left would go after him over it! I didn’t realize his advertisers were so gullible though. I guess we on the right should start pulling the same thing. It works.
Sorry, but the Left beat Rush here, and they know it.
I'm truly disappointed in Rush.
He's like a WWE member making his way to the ring with his music playing in the background.
It ain't really real, but it sure is fun to watch.
Puppies! /Jerry Lawler
Be angry at the right people, his advertizers, not the man himself. Apparently they don’t believe in free speech.
So Rush is more interested in staking out his cash flow than America’s freedom.
I never expected Rush to strap on a pack and grab a rifle. Today, he confirmed his passion to himself and the almighty dollar.
Wimp.
Well....that was the end result. But I think the reason Beck left Fox was due to leftist pressure on Fox via the sponsors. Same leftie caca, different leftie day, IOW.
Rush surrendered to Obama. They have won, we have lost, folks.
So disapppnting, so inevitable.
Time to reasses, regroup, and come up with a plan, and leaders who will actually fight this evil instead of going along to get along and waving the white flag when the going gets tough.
