Rush Limbaugh advertiser today revealed it will pull all adverts from his radio show after the host caused widespread outrage by branding a student a slut for her views on contraception.
The 61-year-old made fun of her for saying religious institutions should cover birth control in health insurance - and said in a further show that she should have to make sex tapes if this ever happens.
Now mattress retailer Sleep Train, based in Rocklin, California, has bowed to pressure on Twitter and said it will no longer advertise on the show. Other advertisers are being called to do the same.
Rush Limbaugh, 61, left called Sandra Fluke, right, a student at Catholic college Georgetown University, a 'slut' for saying religious institutions should cover birth control under health insurance We don't condone negative comments directed toward any group, a Sleep Train spokesman tweeted. Thanks to all of you for your concern and input.
Meanwhile advertiser ProFlowers said it will 're-evaluate its marketing plan and dating site eHarmony insisted it will look into the matter of "network buys".
The host said Sandra Fluke, of Catholic college Georgetown University in Washington D.C., was promiscuous for saying woman should get the pill for medical reasons.

Maybe she’s not using theirs.
Big on radio in Cal. Rush probably has a waiting list.
Will Mitt Romney and SuperPac please do the same on local radio stations during Rush’s show?

Hi,
I’m a very sexually active law student at a major national university. Can you recommend a good mattress for me?
Is there any way I can get the government to pay for it?
Thanks
P.S. Have you ever heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face? I didn’t think so.
There's a joke in there somewhere...
A mattress retailer? Seriously? This stuff just writes itself.
No doubt you're right but isn't it interesting how desperate the left is to denigrate Limbaugh that this non-event shows up so quickly in the UK Daily Mail.
A lie circles the globe before the truth gets its boots on.
They were making more money with their sister company Sluttrain a company making beds for Mattress-back sluts.
Ms Fluke was endorsing the Slutrain beds and no longer needed Rush’s endorsement.
It’s time to put this matter to bed.
And as Miss Fluke can testify, pulling a train does not allow for much sleep.
Maybe they can get Sandra Fluke as a bed specialist to advertise their wares.
OMG that good one Monk ROFL
Yeah I thought Sleep train was cool company not anymore LOL!
They bow to Twitter follower I think so I reading UK Daily mail this morning about it
Nice catch. I didn't make the connection until you mentioned it.
They have 90 little stores in Kalifornicator and re-sell name brand mattresses.
It's a local, not national, sponsor, and Rush didn't know he had them, and won't know they left.
If a national sponsor cancelled because of this crap, the blow back would hurt them, not Rush.
At first,I thought, what bozos. But now I see they are getting themselves lots of free publicity. It may balance out BECAUSE they are a mattress vendor. The jokes write themselves for everyone, not just freepers.
Looks like Rush really hit a nerve with all the sluts of the world.
