Awwww...Kathy! So sorry that happened to you, and especially when your weekend was just beginning!
I wish you had a hot tub, too. It would certainly help...but
you should take some ibuprofen if you can to help keep the
pain at bay. :(
Your poor car!

It was through his theater connections that Jeff Barry met Robin McNamara, a beer guzzling songwriter who eventually landed a leading role in the Broadway cast of Hair. Despite his talent for penning catchy material, Robin was destined to have a short career. He never got near the charts again. However, he and Jeff became running buddies they moved to L.A. at the same time and they continued working together until 1972.
This infectious tune from Jeff, Robin, and Jim Cretecos hit the charts in 1970.

Good evening, Taz...((HUGS))...64 years old and first accident. Not my fault, but I knew I couldn’t avoid him, and the sound is horrendous! I took some pictures that I’ll load later.
I always slow approaching that driveway as it is downhill to the street. I don’t take my foot off the brake until I see that the car has stopped. He stopped and I let up on the brake.
So no hot shower tonight...okay.
How is work going? Getting beat up tonight? A full complement? And I keep forgetting to ask...how is your guy in training? Is he still hard at learning the ropes?

Bobby Bloom had been associated with Jeff Barry since the early Sixties when he was sound engineer Brooks Arthurs assistant on some Barry and Greenwich sessions for Red-Bird. However, Jeff and Bobby didnt come together as artist and producer until 1969. In 1970 they came up with a collection of blues-oriented tunes, the most notable of which was the Montego Bay. Tragically, Bloom died from a gunshot wound under mysterious circumstances in 1974.

I’m so sorry.. The crunch of metal is pretty bad. Worse if it is accompanied by screaming..
Save hot shower for tomorrow..Heat worsens bruising and swelling if you start it too soon.
New guy is coming along.. Not real speedy yet but having er experience makes him pretty sharp.
We are going to be short for quite a while.. We still have one out with surgery and he has had every complication known to man.. Instead of being out for 8 weeks, it’s likely to be 10.
Another having surgery in March.

In 1974, Jeff Barry began working on a project with pianist Peter Allen, but it never got off the ground. It did, however, yield one huge hit for the twosome. Its heartbreakingly beautiful and a genuine masterpiece.

Being short for you guys is really tough! Glad the new guy is coming along.
Surgery with complications is a real bummer. Prayers for his healing with no more complications.

In 1977, a tune that Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and Phil Spector had written 15 years earlier became a hit all over again.

In 1987, Jeff Barry teamed up with two old Brill Building colleagues to write a masterpiece. Thus he joined Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil for one last song.
Jeffrey Osborne & Joyce Kennedy: The Last Time I Made Love
In 1991, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. During the mid-Nineties, Jeff served as president of the National Academy of Songwriters, and in 1998 he was a recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hes still active today. Regrettably, Ellie Greenwich died of a heart attack in 2009 at age 69. But their music lives on.
